I have a friend here in Ohio that purchased his new in 1974, he just put it up for sale. He purchased a new Elise and has a room problem. His wife is against the sale! His name is Ron Schneider @ 330-833-1459

Fixed one up back in the 80s. Could never get over having only a quarter inch of fiberglass all around me (center tunnel was the frame).

I always thought a Se7en painted JP Special would be nice. Russ

I considered it a mini Pantera... there weren't many mid-engine cars back in the 70s. It was actually quite comfortable and nice to drive. Reliability, that's another story.

If I ever considered another one, it would be from these guys (or their parts)

Odd how when I first saw the car I thought of it as a equally beautiful and affordable alternative to the Porsche 917. I still think they are beautiful, not pretty.

I've never been much of a Europa fan, but they are a part of the Lotus world and I can appreciate the car and especially the guys and gals that own and maintain them. From what I've read, Europa ownership is not easy.

The Europa was not one of my favourite Lotus's either, but recognize them as a true classic now. The Eclat on the other hand........No No No!!!

I would love an Eclat with a/c and an automatic. A wonderful GT car that would annoy many F_, J_ & P_ owners on vintage tours.
