Forum member Bruce Bowker's beautiful 1964 Jaguar E-type coupe is featured in the current issue of Hagerty Magazine. It is in the Your Turn section with before and after pictures of the 10 year restoration project.

Congrats Bruce.

I think the E Type is the only car that looks like a living thing.

Best looking car ever, imo.

Congrats, Bruce.

I've seen it as it sits, and I would guess it is nicer now than when brand new in 1964.

Really shows off the skills of Will the restorer and his crew.

Croc and I took it out for a blast, and this E-Type runs great at 140 mph...

Just Kidding Bruce.... Congrats.....

Love the car HATE the white wall tyres.

I have owned several ETypes including a Carmen Red, Bruce you got to get rid of those tyres it looks like its either owned by a pimp or a movie star

Terry - I know where you are coming from as I usually are the same way - no whitewalls. However, in person on this car it seems to work out.

Anyway, Bruce was a pimp and now just does select movie work when he feels like it. :jester:

Congratulations Bruce - Here is to seeing you with better weather in June!

My first E Type was the 1964 coupe, 3 Etypes later my last was the 1974 E drop head. They were great looking cars and were great driving.

None of mine ever looked this great though, even when new!

Ditto Bruce's love of the whitewall look on this car, tho I am a child of the 40's & 50's.

Amazingly clean car.

For some reason (probably because it's just so damm beautiful to begin with) the E Type can get away with just about any tire treatment you want to throw on it. Put a set of wide white walls on my XK150 and it would look like even a pimp wouldn't want it. Anything but blackwalls and chrome wires just doesn't fly, even if period correct. Love your XKE. Early chrome bumper cars are the only "real" E's.
