stevet Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Apart from the obvious (your seven)... I'm packing basic tools, spare throttle cable, gaffer tape, tie wraps and cameras. Also, as I'm driving down in the seven, I've added a new accessory (it's never too early to start accessorising as my wife is fond of saying). I've done a long run in July before and it gets damned hot in these cars so plenty of fluids are needed. The standard CamelBak fits nicely between the seats on my Cat and the drinking tube is just where I want it. Sweet. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1237691122_camelbac.JPG
slngsht Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 At this point, it looks like I'll drive the Seven, wife and kids will be in the van. We'll bring down a tow dolly, just in case something goes wrong with my car, or someone else's, or if there is crazy rain on the way. I'll have simple hand tools in a little plastic toolbox. Every time I use a wrench, socket, screwdriver, etc..., I toss it in there, so I know all the tools I need are at hand Other than that, head phones, water, helmet, and a smile.
powderbrake Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I generally keep a bottle of water between the seats, but I was thinking of adding a cupholder for a 64 oz Big Gulp

solder_guy Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 I will bring my KAR120C license plate from my other car. Also spare 7 grill which is a miscut from the UK. Rotus brochure and magazine article featuring my Rotus! Lotus Seven and the Independents Book. Some info about KAR120C Three CDs of music from The Prisoner TV show. Spare gas can Fire Extinguisher Tools. Rob Mitchell
Al N. Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 A note on alcohol...and no, I'm not going all temperance on you. For those staying at Tapoco, they sell beer and wine out of the Lodge. They owners have asked that we use them for our onsite group beer and wine needs (which I think is fair). If you wanted to bring some beer for your personal "on the porch of your cabin" consumption, that's fine too. Full on keggers I think are not. Of course, should anyone want to bring some scotch or other mixed drink elements, they are totally open to that since they don't carry it. I think an informal microbrew exchange would be a very cool activity...perhaps for Sunday night after the auto-x? Up at Fontana before/after a final ad hoc group dinner? Of course, I need not remind folks that drinking and driving don't mix.
powderbrake Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I'll bring some Schafly's Pale Ale, a microbrewer in the home of the Megabrewer( budweiser)
Al N. Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Yesterday, while sorting through the stuff I'm bringing down for 7-7-7 (my helmet, check; wife's helmet, check; kids helmet, check...), I thought of two things that would be great to have...if someone else had them: • Air compressor...AC/DC for tires (not impact wrenches!) • Vacuum cleaner (those pebbles in the cockpit certainly accumulate quckly, no?) Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
stevet Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 I'm way ahead of you there, Al http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1324485274_kenmore in cat.JPG
