Early season blatting..

Who's been out and about. I was out again today for a quick half hour, watched the sun setting and had that usual silly grin on my face. Any one else?

I was out a few times a week or so ago but the Caterham is now down for some winter repairs and maintenance. I did have the Miata out today for the monthly Cars & Coffee which had about 80 or so sports and exotic cars.

12 degrees Fahrenheit here this morning. No blatting for a while here. You lucky dogs!

Way past ready. Been itching to drive, but have been down for most of the winter for various projects. Still not done; pulling the engine and tranny tomorrow for a trans swap . . . then finish the wiring, seat belts, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah.

Took mine out last week without top or doors. Temp in the upper 30s. Felt like I was driving a dog sled in Alaska. It was great.

Well I can't really call it a Blat, but I took the Caterham off the lift today and it started right up. :driving: Drove it to the end of the cul de sac where I promptly loaded into the trailer. A few preseason maintenance items, Cambelt change, New Master Cylinder, DeDion ear change. Less than 3 weeks to the first trackday of the season.

Tom,

The mad rush is on, three short weeks! I took my car to the road Tuesday... just two miles to the shop for high lift cams and ECU.

That is an impressive winter photo, especially the green/silver 7 in the middle: no doors, top or windshield. Probably also lacking a heater, but the a/c was at full blast.

That would be Darren in his Stalker, great guy, drives in all kinds of weather. Loves his car.
