IT IS SUPERCHARGED, HAS A LOW CUT WINDSCREEN, HAS LOTS OF GOODIES TO MAKE IT MORE FUN TO DRIVE, LSD BY SUBARU, CLOSE RATIO GEARS WITH A 5 SPEED FORD T-9, GOBS OF TORQUE AND POWER, PANASPORT WHEELS WITH STICKY ROAD RACE TIRES, TWO TONE PAINT, AND LOTS MORE! WE CALLED IT A 1967 FOR PURPOSES OF THIS LISTING. IN FACT IT IS VIRTUALLY A NEW CAR.

IT DRIVES PERFECTLY ON THE STREET AND ON THE TRACK. THE SUPER PERFORMANCE IS ACHIEVED WITH PUMP GAS. IT PRODUCES 10LBS OF BOOST AND UTILIZES A WATER INJECTION SYSTEM TO CONTROL PRE-IGNITION. Good looking Birkin S3 but I don't see anything in the pictures to indicate the engine is supercharged. The throttle bodies are open to atmosphere. Maybe I am missing something, if so please enlighten me.

I agree with you on that. I was looking to see how it was done due to my own interest in doing my own car, but no supercharger installed on this engine. Perhaps he has a kit in his garage and it will go with the car:driving:

It is being sold by TMW, one of the US Birkin dealers. I know they recently developed a supercharger option. I have a hunch that, since this is described as "virtually new," it was the first one they did. Just like the '09 I have for sale here was their first Duratec Birkin.

The photos are of a stock Duratec engine set up just like mine w/o a supercharger. Unlike this one, the previous owner of mine eliminated the piles of electrical wires etc., and cleaned up the engine bay a bit.

This a beautiful car and with the extra torque must really fly. I took mine for a spin last nite and my head kept banging on the headrest with up shifts so I cant imagine what this one is like!

not my car - just offered for discussion or the purchase interest of other USA7 members (although i figured a birkin dealer would at least have some credibility). i really like that shortened flat windscreen with matching shortened wind wings - more symmetrical and less choppy-looking than individual brooklands screens. if the car is supercharged, that is far preferable to turbo-charging. i owned a supercharged exige with proalloy liquid-to-air intercooer and a few other tricks. made 346 hp. the throttle was very linear, with excellent control out of corners. it felt supercharged only because the car never seemed to stop accelerating, right to redline. that is the type of throttle response necessary to preserve the character of a seven, which is driven with the pedal nearly as much as the wheel.

Unless I missed it: What is the asking price please

Did you realize the car was being sold on Ebay back in April of this year and was not for sale by a forum member? ? ?

My 'old' (relative term) Birkin was the first SC car produced by TMW and now belongs to one of the members on this forum. He purchased the car from TMW with a bad engine. If I remember from PM's, the water injection was suspect for the engine failure. Here is/was the old listing for that car:

I believe this car to possibly be the second SC car by TMW. The photos are indeed pre-SC. Here is the TMW link for the car (complete with pre-SC pics):
