MHKflyer52
Nothing like the above posts until you consider my car started as a dead and ready for the junk yard MGB and now has been brought back to life as a Replica of a Lotus 7 or Locost 7 and by no means as low-cost as the book said it would be in the end but still a lot of fun and it dose not even look like an MGB or run like one. It runs better and the smile is much greater.
Al N.
Mine must be the only one on here that is Stock. That means I ordered it Right! :hurray: ....On second thought I shouldn't have ordered the heater. Dang, Tom...that was certainly a very high initial spec! Orange was already assembled, so I didn't have much choice in what I got.
yellowss7
Al, Once I decided I wanted a 7 I think I read everything ever written about them. After about five years of research, I was ready to order. At the time, the superlight SLR was the top spec. So I ordered it that way. Then while waiting for delivery the R500 spec came out. I was crushed. There was a faster version. :ack: But then I saw that the R500 engine required a "refresh" after around 3000 miles   And after driving mine, I don't think I could handle another 40+ HP. I can't imagine the new Duratec engined 7's with 260-300 hp. I guess that power helps with the top end on the track. For autox it seems like overkill, at least to me. I guess I did make one addition, THE SLICKS. Now that really transformed the handling. If you think a seven handles well on street tires. Try a set of slicks. Shame they don't make street legal slicks! Tom
