Road Ready Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I've not actually gotten an actual weight of the car. Should I include my weight when I get that? For the Seven, the operator's weight is a much more important factor than that for some super car the weighs 3X as much. What do Caterham Super Sevens actually tend to weigh with fuel and driver?
Off Road SHO Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 My Superformance S-1 weighs 1750 with full fuel and 220 lb driver. Verified on a certified traffic scale. Tom
wemtd Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 My Birkin was ~1275 when weighed at the local quary (without spare tire, gas, extra junk i usually drive with, OR DRIVER) - actual results my vary with driver & setup.
escondidoron Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 My '62 Lotus Seven weighs 1160Lbs with driver and a full tank of fuel.
scannon Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 My 2004 Caterham SV weighed in on corner weight scales at 1,360 lb w/o the driver and with a half tank of gas.
nick47 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 My porky Locost came in at 1560 empty. Too many LBC parts, I think.
sdaddy Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) I bought four 400lb bathroom scales and made some wooden "ramps" to roll the car on and off for corner weighting. Total without spare, spare carrier, or much gas, was right at 1200 lbs for my '03 Birkin. It's nice to have scales at home so the impact from changes (recently bought new, lighter wheels), can be seen right away. Edited July 6, 2014 by sdaddy
powderbrake Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 My Ultralite is 1400 pounds with aboout a half tank of gas, NO driver.
