  1. That is the standard interior. The one you have in mind is an option. About $2300, though that includes the lowered floor and Momo steering wheel.
  2. Terry - The deep amethyst and the champagne gold are both 2000 Chrysler colors. They are my wife's favorite colors.
  3. Hopefully both will be well broken in by then.
  4. Considering where your caterham is garaged, LoJack or a GPS tracker may be a good option for you.
  5. Very good news. You can never have too many eyes out there looking.
  6. I'll be there with my Caterham jacket, my Caterham dreams, and even my Caterham receipts. In other words, everything but the Caterham CSR I ordered back in October. Hopefully the factory will get their $#!+ together and have the car here soon.
  7. Posted on Pac NW Corvette Forum: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/pacific-northwest/3074446-stolen-car-alert.html#post1581049956
  8. That will likely be the last time a Mini beats a 7.
  9. I'll post on the Pac NW Corvette Forum. Do you have a police case# and department that should be called in case someone sees the car?
  10. My belief is that the delays are to make sure that all the parts are included. It's nice to have a dream.
  11. I'm sure it will come as a shock to you that the Caterham delivery is running behind schedule (Really, an English sports car? They are usually so reliable!). Apparently four of the six cars in the shipment have been crated and the other two will happen shortly, then off to America. Now looking at a mid-July delivery and then assembly time. That should should still give me six to ten weeks of good driving weather. No doubt all the waiting will be forgotten and forgiven a few miles into the first drive.

    Busy busy

    Estimated delivery dates?
  13. Terry - Do the CSRs cost that much more north of the border? Or is the owner having that many options?
  14. I was hoping a forum member would not be making it too easy for someone to sell a stolen car or to represent a Lotus as authentic when it isn't. Thanks for thinking it over and removing the post.
  15. Legality of this?
  16. Super 7 Cars, the Canadian Caterham distubutor, made this video on the CSR. Turn up the volume and enjoy: [/url]
  17. There may be more to it (or there may not): http://www.armytimes.com/news/2012/04/military-gun-maker-claims-bank-of-america-dumped-firm-042612w/ http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/bankofamerica.asp Is there any evidence that BofA (who I dislike and dropped for unrelated reasons) has done this to any other firearms makers? Is there the slightest possiblity that there could be other issues and Mr. McMillan is less than accurate?
  18. I will have to withdraw as it looks like my CSR is delayed (shock and sound of gasping by readers) for another couple months. See you in 2013.
  19. I hope its a good tourer. Thats my plan for the CSR I have on order. By all accounts, you'll love it, even without the TR3 comparison.
  20. Yes, but the law allows me to sell the car should I ever tire of it or it gets to be to much of a pain. My recollection is that idea didn't go over so well with the kid.
  21. Apparently my CSR, and 5 other US bound Caterhams, are now in a shipping container at the factory waiting to be picked up and taken to the port. Should happen sometime within the next six hours to six weeks. I'm still looking forward to Summer blats, though now won't be as many this Spring as I had hoped for. Its like having a kid, except the big checks are written during the nine month wait and then slow down after arrival.
  22. I hope you packed the rain tires, its been raining pretty hard over here. And with a fairly new track, not sure how slick it will be.
  23. I wish my local troopers would do this, though I'm pretty sure these guys won't have the chance again (be sure to watch the video from 2010): http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2012/04/second_state_trooper_suspended.html
  24. I think what's wrong here are the statistics. If the average US worker makes $40k a year, that means the average CEO is paid $19mil. Not too likely, that is still quite rare. Perhaps the poll is only of the 10 or 25 highest paid CEOs or something like that. Or maybe its just plain bad analysis, can't really tell since it's orign is unattributed. According to Forbes, $19 mil would put a CEO at about #50 for the highest paid CEOs http://www.forbes.com/lists/2011/12/ceo-compensation-11_rank.html . And if you go by the five year average (to eliminate a particularly good year), that $19mil would move you even further up the list.
  25. WSU's harmless enough. It's the BRG and yellow I wouldn't be able to stomach:ack: (no offense meant for traditionalists not affiliated with UO).
