  1. Cool videos Busaloco! You keep this up and I cancel my cable... Bruce :7drive:
  2.   Unfortunately, I can relate to that one... :ack: Bruce :7drive:
  3. Great news!! :hurray: Bruce :7fume:
  4. "If your car is titled, you won't need to go through a composite vehicle inspection, just a VIN check." - Interesting Doug. I don't know what happened with me, but I had a clear Michigan title and VIN for my Birkin and I still had to go through the inspection process. :ack: I sure hope you don't have to do the inspection Paul. Bruce :7drive:
  5. It looked like Mike Solan was running for his life!! :willy: :willy: Bruce :7drive:

    Pi7ot's 7

Looking good pi7ot! Bruce :7drive:
  7. I feel for you Martin. I've had to deal with many pesky oil leaks, coolant leaks, and even a fuel leak with my '64 MGB. Don't know how many times I've been tempted to put a Zetec in it (already have the T9 tranny) just for the reduced maintenance and the increased performance. Hang in there, I'm sure you'll have it running fine soon. Bruce :7drive:

Dave K asked: "Anyone seen a Westfield with a Zetec?" - Well I finally remembered where I saw it: http://www.barons-auctions.com/details.php?lotpath=lots/H289KPE.htm Not a Westfield, but based on a Caterham chassis. Bruce :7drive:
  9. Just thought I'd give an update on my wheel situation. I ended up ordering some Enkei RPF1 wheels in the 15x7, 35mm offset size, with 205/50/15 Falken Azenis RT-615 tires from Good-Win Racing. I still need to get some 5mm spacers but that should be pretty easy. I should lose about 8 lbs per corner with the new set-up. Here's a VERY amateur photo-shop of what it should look like: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1852422603_enkei dad.bmp Bruce :7drive:
  10. "but its DMV so I want to plan for the worse." - Always a good idea! Good talking to you Paul. Let me know how you make out on your trip to DMV. Bruce :7drive: PS: I want to spill the beans on Paul's new ride, but I'll let him do that...
  11.
  12. "Sweet! hopefully they'll speak up. " - :bigears: "I also will be selling my Panther and BMWs toward massing capital for Sugino's 7 or another fine BDR." - Sounds VERY interesting Sandy, keep us up to date. Bruce :7drive:
  13. Hi Paul. I just had my Birkin inspected and registered in the fall of '07 so I'm very familiar with the process and requirements. I'd be glad to help you out with anything you need. I'm busy tonight, but I'd be happy to talk to you anytime after that. One good thing is you don't have to pass emissions as of 7/1/07. Here's my write-up of the experience last fall: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=1430 Bruce :7drive: PS: These cars are a blast!!
  14. The Honda dealer said my Ridgeline is a "great" off-road vehicle. Can I come play too??? :leaving: Bruce :7drive: PS: Looks like a lot of fun!
  15. Congrats Chad! Now the fun starts!! :7fume:
  16. "I'm going to pullapart junkyard tomorrow and see if an MGB rack will work with my car .." - Not sure if you know Rob, but the MGB pinion is about 18"-24" long as shown here: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1320894471_453-619_1.jpg Bruce :7drive:
  17. "You guys are slackers, article is 3 years old, can't believe you guys are just discovering it now. " - I'm sure I already read it, I might even have posted the link here before, but if it wasn't within the last week it's news to me!! Bruce :7drive: PS: I'm blind too, never saw the date even though I looked for it... :ack:
  18. Congrats Brad! The color combination on your car is one of my all time classic favorites! Bruce :7drive:
  19. Nice looking BRG Cat on eBay. No affiliation, etc: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lotus-2005-Caterham-Super-7_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6312QQihZ020QQitemZ300243678267QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Bruce :7drive:

  21. Good info Rob, thanks for sharing. Bruce :7drive:
  22. Chad, Pegasus Racing has the SPA center mount mirror in nylon and carbon fiber here: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=MIRRORSPACTR Not inexpensive, but good quality. Bruce :7drive:
  23. I'll always like the look of a traditional 7 more than some of the more modern designs and I sort of like the general shape and proportions of this one, but some of the details...WTF were they thinking?? I don't think you could possibly make headlights look any worse! :ack: The chassis, suspension, brakes, etc, certainly are interesting and I bet it's a blast to drive! Here's an interesting cutaway-type image: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1010541125_IFR-Aspid-6.jpg Bruce :7drive:
  24. Ian, I worked for a Ford dealer back in the early 80's and 90% of speedo problems such as yours could be corrected by lubing the cable. A lot were new cars that hadn't been properly lubed from the factory. Ford even had a special speedometer cable grease which was lighter than wheel bearing grease. Not sure if there isn't something else causing your problem, but lubing the cable would be an easy first fix. Bruce :7drive:
  25. "Looks like a late 60's Dino" - I'm not familiar with that model, but I think being front engined it'd be from the late 50's. Looking good Steve! Bruce :7drive:
