Just bought my kid a 2008 model... quite like it! It's general size/shape of a VW Golf (5 cylinder) with Mazda 3 suspension and is nice looking. Already bought some suspension bits to give it a nice stance and a borla exhaust. He should be set. My daughter's mini needed new control arm bushing and had a leaky shock so fixed her up with new shocks/spring/sway bar. She can now hit an occasional autoX in Camarillo while attending college there. No wonder my poor 7 sits under a cover needing new heim joints, tires & recornerweighing:(

I gave them $100 quite some time ago... it's moving farther than others that have tried. I have a 70 mile commute so 84gpm (or anything close to that) would be great, along with that price. Just hope turning on the A/C doesn't reduce it to 35mpg;)
  4. The other night I gradually woke up as stiff as a plank in a hospital's ICU, tubes up my nose & down my throat, wires monitoring every function, a hell of a pain over my left ear, and a gorgeous nurse hovering over me. It was obvious I'd been in a serious accident. She looked at me, and with a deep & steady voice I heard her slowly say, 'You may not feel anything from the waist down.' I managed to mumble in reply, 'Can I feel your boobs, then?' NOW THAT'S A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
  5. I was stationed at Edwards Air Base back in the 80s... I imagine Mojave is a ghost town now that the freeway doesn't go through it anymore. Yeah, you may be carving it up around some parking lots in Midland;) Definitely easier in the registration department though, sure some Texas guys will chime in.
  6. Are you in Texas, or Mojave? They didn't do a light height test when I did my DMV thing... just showed them they worked (low & high)
  7. Great work... surprised you didn't just go for some motorcycle flush turn signals... something like these: https://www.denniskirk.com/21463.sku?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse&gclid=COCu4Y-6jr8CFZJbfgod9QcA1Q
  8. Need some little controllable wing flaps (might being cheating)
  9. Went to Concord High back in the mid-70s... went into the military (not really; Air Force) and within 4 years it wasn't worth going back. Too expensive and friends all moved away cause they couldn't afford to live there.
  10. You may want one of these.. more here http://usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?t=8539

    Net Neutrality

Here's a humorous way to learn how we're about to get screwed by the cable companies (even more)... and something you can do to feel like you at least made a minor effort to stop it.
  12. This looks simple enough for even me to use
  13. Where's the cup holders!! I have electric pedal adjustment, but seeing how I'm the only one driving it.... All kidding aside, I'd take that in a heartbeat, looks great. And items aren't as crammed in like most our cars. Except that biggo V8
  14. It's going to be an awesome car... perhaps we can meet in Caliente and do a loop thru Lake Isabella sometime in the Fall (don't drive the 7 much in July, August ).
  15. One of my favorite 7s here
  16. That was awesome!
  17. Luv it!... see you carpeted the sides of the cockpit too
  18. I rewired a Lotus Europa with a Ron Francis wiring kit way back in the day... each wire had what it was for stamped along it (Rt headlight etc..). And the fuse box was label for beginners. I can't imagine untaping and pulling out wires per schematic. I got to think it's going to be a lot more fun from here on out. Good luck!
  19. It does take a bit to get used to how sensitive the steering input is. These are the settings Loren gave me a while back. Front settings. camber -1.2-1.5 caster 3.5-4 degrees toe in 1/8" Rear settings camber -1.2-1.5 toe straight to 1/8 in Mine drives pretty straight and true (your can add more castor but it gets harder to turn)... too much air pressure in tires will have you bouncing around too. I do around 18lbs
  20. Sorry, don't know any info on the car, didn't see the hood open. And a couple Loti
  21. Here's a few more from Buttonwillow.. open wheels 4 to 12 cylinders
  22. Difference between hunter & fisherman Hunter lies in wait Fisherman waits and lies
  23. Won't let me post more pics for some reason... had some cool open wheel cars; 4 to 12 cylinders and only one Lotus 7;(
