  14. Does the block looks like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Lotus-Engine-Block-/261830847534?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cf655ac2e or this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-RACING-NEW-LOTUS-TWIN-CAM-1600-ENGINE-BLOCK-/171734581976?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27fc2dc2d8
  15. yEAH....I don't think it can be fixed. Cast iron block - you can't weld it properly...its tricky. If you find the same block....i assumed it's close to the original.
  16. i know a few machine shop can repair a cracked block but never heard anyone who can repair a hole in the block. Is it a crack or the rod made a hole in the block?
  17. Through out the years....the real problem of the kit-replica manufacturer was registering the car. The American innovations cannot be questioned in this area. it's the politics and greedy business that stops this small industry. I've seen lots of manufacturer that comes and go from 1970's to present. In 50 states, registering this type of car is "hit or miss".....most are DMV assholes states....i'm sure the big auto maker lobbyists are working hard to protect their products. Here a typical American innovation: Panoz producing delta wing car & selling it like a seven ---- https://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/deltawing-unveils-new-gt-race-car--paves-way-for-affordable-sports-car-180629960.html
  18. thanks....i will call them & find out how much is the shipping (for future use)
  19. Cost me $30.00 at Joanne Fabric -- wifey made one for me. Rain proof.
  20. Thank you for the video. This is a mid-engine design ? This car gets the 50:50 weight distribution or at least close to 50 50 ? Impressive then....
  21. Four used Hoosier slick tires and wheels. There are few more remaining races on the thread. The cost of the new 4 sets of Hoosier slick almost a $1,000. The tire size ---- P205 x 15 x zr50 front P225 x 15 x zr50 rear. The wheels has 4 bolt pattern for Honda cars (4" pattern). The wheels are very strong wheels, they are flow formed not low pressure cast like Chinese made wheels. It was originally used for Ariel Atom SRA (spec race atom) Sell as is. $500.00 pick up only or I can meet you half way if in my states or vicinity -- I don't know how to ship it.
  22. Maybe you've seen this car before. Who own this car? I saw this car in facebook...look pretty impressive rear engine design. I wonder what engine you can use... could be Bec. Someone also posted this http://www.transworks.biz/minidiff.html
  23. My greatest worry is not sitting & driving an unsafe car but having an Alzheimer disease. I need to renew and sharpen my aging brain. Modifying - innovating & fixing a sevenesque car is refreshing to me.
