  1. thanks guys. i'll definitely go to the coffee thing on saturday.
  2. YouTube Video :rofl::rofl::rofl:
  3. I'm Sydney bound in September, and decided to set a day aside in the trip to check out you LA peeps. Anyone around ??? On the way out, I'm arriving Friday, Sept 5th at noon, and flying out Saturday, Sept 6th at 10 PM. On the way back, I'm arriving Monday Sept 22nd at 1 PM and leaving Tuesday Sept 23rd at 1 PM. I have a couple of distant relatives in town, but would prefer to spend some quality time with the Seven family.
  4. Wow... lucky bastard http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/662780735_RS6_2.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/448104352_RS6_3.JPG
  5. Martin, Yes, those are new. Moroso mufflers. they weigh 4 lbs and I'm happy with the sound so far http://www.jegs.com/i/Moroso/710/94051/10002/-1 When you look inside, they are the typical auger style muffler... about 1" or 1.5" straight through hole in the middle, and a spiral pattern on the outside. I asked my neighbors (we are all good friends) and they like the mufflers. They don't hear the car in their living rooms when i'm idling anymore  I have no idea how restrictive they are on power. won't find out anything on power stuff until a dyno session, which is not a high priority for me right now.
  6. http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/rotusrevived.wmv There is SO MUCH work to be done yet, but it was nice to take her for a spin. The vid is pretty boring, other than if you're wondering if my son will make it out alive - you know with exposed exhaust on one side, exposed driveshaft on the other, and feet on loose battery. I think he enjoyed the ride. Now it's time to get started on all the "little stuff" that will make it more like an actual car. I do like the raw look of it though... a little Mad Maxish.
  7. Welcome... I'll be watching all of these as soon as wifey lets me off the hook in the garden
  8. Yeah, going around a cyclist like that is insane
  9. Exhaust is clamped together. Still need to fab something up for a hanger / support. I ended up going with Moroso "Engineered Spiral Flow" mufflers. at 4 lbs a piece, they're pretty light. I haven't driven the car with them yet, but at startup, idle, and bumping the throttle, they sound promising.
  10. looks like you're linking something in your email? can you paste the text?
  11. definitely makes it easier on the back sometimes.
  12. oh well, vid was terminated at 8:30 seconds into the lap
  13. Busa... that last one  John, i was going to move it, busa had to go and post some great 7 vids in here
  14. I would've liked to see some table tennis too. I hardly ever watch TV, so i'm not surprised I'm missing alot. Our local town here is sort of the table tennis capitol of US.
  15. i've started getting the wiring working again. last night got the back of the car working - tail lights, fuel pump, fuel gauge. tonight i'll wire up the fan and horn, put the rest of the dash switches in place. hydraulics are all bled and tested. Tomorrow will have to assemble front suspension and put steering back in before going for a spin around the block. Still need to do alot of sheet metal work. mufflers are on order. They'll be here Friday. I actually drove the car from the driveway into the garage under its own power a couple of days ago - the first time since last November.
  16. I get the same reaction from Scott L, who has the 6 speed combo. We have traveled together on numerous occasions on long cruises, and he says going over 70 gets old quickly. My lowly V8 lumbers along at 1700 rpm in 6th gear at 70
  17. About your other comment, I wish they would show something besides swimming, gymnastics and basketball.
  18. Alain Bernard - french ace on the final leg of the relay race, he blew a large lead in the last 25 meters. The guy who ran him down on the US side ran the race of his life to catch him. I'm sure you have seen the photo finish. Anyway, before the race, Bernard said in an interview “The Americans? We’re going to smash them. That’s what we came here for,”
  19. At least he just won individual gold
  20. I feel bad for that car. Looks like he's applying the brakes, or has a line lock. Last year at the Carlisle corvette show they had a burnout contest. somebody melted the tires off a Z06 :nonod:
  21. Keep in mind that my car is a bit oversized... this shot should give you another comparison, although it is very blurry http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/20061010_212338_CIMG1052.JPG
  22. here's what they looked like on my car a long time ago http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/CIMG1058.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/CIMG1059.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/CIMG1060.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/CIMG1061.JPG
  23. I have them, bob has something different. The high beams light up EVERYTHING in the distance... and the integrated running lights / turn signals are nice too. Overall, I'm with Al though. Having had them, I'm very happy with the light output, but I long for the look of the chrome round headlights. The SR27 has a source for round HID lights, and I'm sure they can be found other places too. They were out of my budget though. If you decide to go with them, talk to me before buying them new. I *might* part with mine. again, it's a matter of classic look thing, and there isn't much on my car that looks classic

    BusaLoco

Shall he be crowned the king of Videos? I used to search youtube from time to time and post stuff in the vid section, but Busa has taken over (which is great - always something new to watch  )
