  1. Gee, the man can type faster, and put down better ideas than me :willy:
  2. I can think of a bunch of funny things people would put there, like Car: faster than yours or other silly stuff. I'm open to it though... let's see what others say.
  3. Jerry, no ultralite here, but I know exactly the feeling you're talking about. you dive into the corner the same way as the vette, then realize you dove in too soon, and have to open it up a bit - feeling a bit silly. I'm not quite sure how much of it is because the seven just changes direction much quicker than bigger cars, and how much of it is due to practically sitting on the rear axle of the car.
  4. Nitrous Oxide is such an odd thing on a seven... it's the opposite of smooth power. It's great for point and shoot on the highway though.
  5. IMO it's the best way to do a BEC. BEC should be ALL about super light weight and efficiency, including aerodynamics. I think Radical SR3 is just about perfect.
  6. All, with the membership drive coming to a close, we have made some changes to the forum, and a few more will be coming in short order: 1- Those of you who have joined the club should now notice Club Member in your profile. Others who have not, will still see Forum User. 2- The for sale sections now have the following restrictions: --> a. Only club members can start new topics in these sections - these sections are for items for sale / wanted by club members. --> b. Forum users will be able to post replies to threads. We know people have mixed feelings on this one, but this is the way we decided to go. 3- We will add a new section for non-members who wish to post items for sale there, or for members who find items for sale elsewhere (such as ebay, etc...) 4- We ask all vendors on the forum - wether you are a manufacturer, dealer, accessory supplier, etc... to email me and identify yourselves. Your profiles will be tagged with the word "Vendor". You can supply me with a brief description of your business, what you sell, etc... and I will add it to a new page on the site. THERE IS NO COST INVOLVED. Why are we doing this? It help everyone on the forum know where you are coming from, and helps new users find your business better. Finally, if you have paid for membership, but your profile does not show "Club Member", please let me know via email. Thanks!
  7. is the new owner a member here?

  13. I have heard of the oil filters backing out on those engines before. A guy I was autocrossing with had developed a crack in his S2000 oil filter, which I thought was a very odd problem. He said he also road races, and they REALLY crank the filter down to make sure it doesn't back off. Seems like there should be a way to have some type of mechanical lock improvised to solve this problem.
  14. Have you confirmed fuel pressure and fuel level?
  15. [Chorus] Hi Loren!
  16. Well, finally got out of analysis paralysis on the fittings. I'm waiting for 2 more fittings to finish up the front. All the lines are run, and clutch and rear brakes are already functional. Should get the fittings in on Tuesday for the fronts. I will be hooking up the throttle over the next couple of days, and have to go hunt down some bolts for the front suspension. I think by Thursday, I should be able to drive it around the block - without fully functioning wiring.
  17. Electric blue or blood red.

yeah he doesn't talk about the axle, but if it's stock, it won't be for long.
  20. I'll be there, but it won't really prove anything that hasn't already been shown. I'll probably be out lapped since I'm a novice. We'll let Loren and Kevin prove the high HP car point
  21. I guess I just don't understand the fear of high power/weight ratio cars. Sure, you can't just floor it coming out of a corner... you have to treat the gas pedal with a little more gentle care. And on occasions where the road does open up, well... it's just plain fun. As long as the power comes on smoothly on a flat torque curve, and doesn't go from falling on its face to stratosphere in 1000 rpm, extra power is not a problem IMO.
  22. 1st gear start is for pulling into the garage. 2nd gear start is for going fast 3rd through 5th gear starts... because he can
  23. skip, get in line I want a ride first
