  2. things like this rarely go according to plan. how close are you to Baltimore? Look up autofab racecars... they stock an entire wall of various spring rates and lengths, and are a QA1 dealer. Very knowledgeable people. Always interesting projects in their shop.

  4. Now that my seats are actually bolted to the car I started the fire extinguisher thread... now following it up with seat belts. How old are your belts? I'm finding out that they need to be replaced every 2 years if you track your car, which was a surprise to me.
  5. let's go for a ride
  6. I was wondering if 2.5 lbs will be big enough. I'll go with it. Thanks.

  15. Hi all, it's time for general release of the newsletter (actually a little bit overdue). To the paying members who have provided all the support and encouragement - Thank you. John V - awesome job on pulling it all together. This is only going to get better as time goes on. Just based on reading all the posts here, I know a bunch of you can write some quite entertaining pieces... so dust off the keyboards and start contributing to the bank of articles.
  16. I skateboarded half a mile :willy: walked my son and his board to school and skated back. that was fun
  17. Completely agree... waited 20 years to get mine. not sure why
  18. I haven't had the R888 yet, but it's really surprising that it would be better than RA-1 in the wet. RA-1 has decent grooves in it. R888 looks alot closer to what the Nitto 555 RII's look like, and I know first hand how bad those are in the rain.
  19. Sevens in general, and clams in particular have lift problems at high speed.
  20. Note that I didn't say "cars" I'm planning to take Frankn7 out in all her glory (no body work) before I leave for the land down under. Change in venue and date... It's now Sunday, Aug 31 at 10:30 AM at the starbucks at corner of River and Falls roads in Potomac.
  21. downshift into the wrong gear?
  22. I've been using these lately. Very sporty looking, and work great with the bottom mount pedals. They support my foot just right. The big plus is that they're the talk of the night wherever I go http://blog.theshoegoddess.com/Ash---shell-satin-high-heel-sneakers-130-shop.jpg :leaving:
