  1. good read... not many surprises.
  2. on the supernatural. To get a feel for his audience, he asks, "How many people here believe In ghosts?" About 90 students raise their hands. "Well, that's a good start.Out of those of you who believe in ghosts, do any of you think you have seen a ghost?" About 40 students raise their hands. "That's really good. I'm really glad you take this seriously. Has anyone here ever talked to a ghost?" About 15 students raise their hand. "Has anyone here ever touched a ghost?" Three students raise their hands. "That's fantastic. Now let me ask you one question further... Have any of you ever made love to a ghost?" Way in the back, Bubba raises his hand. The professor takes off his glasses, and says "Son, all the years I've been giving this lecture, no one has ever claimed to have made love to a ghost. You've got to come up here and tell us about your experience." The big redneck student replied with a nod and a grin, and began to make his way up to the podium. When he reached the front of the room, the professor asks, "So, Bubba, tell us what it's like to have sex with a ghost?" Bubba replied, "Shiiiit!! From way back there I thought you said "Goats!"
  3. If they are new to autox, have them contact Brian Garfield. He is the local SCCA autox instructor. Great guy. They should go through the level 1 and level 2 school. They will get alot of seat time, and will get 1 on 1 instruction with the instructor as a passenger, and instructor as driver, with the owner riding shotgun - they will be amazed what their car can do. Info here Cheers... p.s. and tell 'em to look for a ruggedly handsome guy in a goofy looking car next year :jester:
  4. Sort of like this page, except organized as Year > Month > Event? http://www.usa7s.com/forum/eventregistration/links.aspx
  5. Interesting. I will try the 7-11. The guy gave us a brief description of the lady (well, I have another word) driving the car as well.
  6. great idea. The old forum had it, but we hardly had anything going on. I'll see if I can find a canned solution. These days my development hours are all spoken for.
  7. I haven't done that in the Rotus yet, but was driving the vette with top down a couple years ago, coming up to toll plaza... opened my wallet to get a one out, and a $20 flew out. Talk about a waste
  8. I think the police identified her with the supplied info. We're waiting to get the police report so I can go hit up her insurance. I bet if I show up at the same time Monday morning at the 7-11, she'll be driving up to get her cup of coffee :boxing:

Thenk you, thenk you [insert bowing smilie here] and now........... A doctor at a nuthouse decided to take his inmates to a baseball game. For weeks in advance, he coached his patients to respond to his commands. When the day of the game arrived, everything seemed to be going well. As the national anthem started, the doctor yelled, "Up nuts!" and the inmates complied by standing up. After the anthem he yelled, "Down Nuts!" and they all sat down. After a home run he yelled, "Cheer nuts!" and they all broke into applause and cheers. Thinking things were going very well, he decided to go get a beer and a hot-dog, leaving his assistant in charge. When he returned there was a riot in progress. Finding his assistant, he asked what happened, "what in the heck is going on"?. The assistant replied, well...everything was fine until some guy walked by and yelled, . . . . . . . "PEANUTS"!!!
  10. justice served. love it
  11. Here is the vid... I couldn't get my digicam to focus on the gauges... need a better camera. In the first part, you can compare the tach movement to my regular dash. In the 2nd part, the gauge on the left is TPS. The reaction is very crisp. I will load up other values to see if/ how it slows down the sampling rate. My understanding is that they do it in frames, so there is no impact - but will have to verify. www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/DashDAQ.wmv
  12. New toy arrived today. So far it's very impressive. The package is small... about the size of a typical hand held GPS, but a little wider. I have not had a chance to try it in daylight yet - that's always a concern with any LCD type product. My other concern was how responsive the gauges would be, AND IT IS IMPRESSIVE! I will be posting a video shortly that compares its tachometer to the one in my vette... In my eyes it reacts faster than the factory tach  The graphics are CRISP... This is a shot in macro mode from my digicam (green dot is from my cam) http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1815356966_CIMG2021.JPG Menus are easy to follow... it took me about 5 minutes to hook it up, fire it up, select a few gauges. It has many more features I have to play with, but so far, a great start. Best part, it weighs about a pound, and only 1 single wire to connect to the diagnostic connector.
  13. heh, it's not the first time a manufacturer doesn't like "to promote their positive opinions on competitive product"
  14. All, latest word from Jean, via email... Hopefully US Customs won't give us a hassle...
  15. had ANOTHER hit and run on the minivan today. Van is 2.5 years old. Somebody ripped off the front bumper in a parking lot last year (and ran). This morning it got hit on the driver side at 7Eleven parking lot. BUT this time we have an eye witness and a LICENSE PLATE :hurray: Pic of the damage http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/348016270_CIMG2018.JPG
