  1. What he said is true. My car has alot of wasted space behind the pedals and the dash. She will be undergoing reconstructive surgery to correct these problems this winter. I will be moving the dash back several inches, as well as the pedals. After that, a 6' 3" person *should* be able to drive my car using a seat. As it is, it's tight for me, and I'm only 5' 11" on a good day.
  2. Alright, I just paypal'ed Jean $2,745 for 65 Watches I estimate packing and shipping charges to be another $324 (USPS website better be right), bringing total to $3,069 I only have requests for 62 - I will keep 3 in reserve in case any others come forward. To date, I have paypal funds and checks totalling $2,584.09, leaving us just over $400 in the hole. I'm awaiting payments from: Slngsht(1) Slomove(1) Boxologist(3) pwhittle(1) Wallisek(1) James A (2) Peter Moretti(2) BusaLoco(3) snettleship(1) DIYMAN25(2) Mike Rohaley(1) This should add up to at least about $1000, meaning the club should benefit about $600, which is huge. I have to say that many of you threw in a little extra to support the club, including someone who piched in $100 extra, but wishes to remain anonymous. I'm blown away by the support. Norma

A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph 'S Hospital. She timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?" The operator said, "I'll be glad to help, dear. What's the name and room Number? "The grandmother in her weak tremulous voice said, "Norma Findlay, Room 302." The operator replied, "Let me place you on hold while I check with Her nurse." After a few minutes the operator returned to the phone and said, "Good news, Her nurse has told me that Norma is doing very well. Her Blood pressure is fine. Her blood work just came back as normal and Her Physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged Tuesday." The grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful! I was so worried! God bless you for the good news." The operator replied, "You're more than welcome, Is Norma your daughter?" The Grandmother said, "No, I'm Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me chit."
  4. welcome... wish you had joined a couple months sooner... we had 61 cars at the Dragon in July. I think Bill and Marcy are in Knoxville. They have a classic Caterham. Size 15 will be a problem with any of the existing variety of sevens, but if you are planning on building your own Locost, then you design around your size, so it's not really a problem.
  5. All, once I confirm the final amount with Jean today, I will be sending him the funds. There are several people who have either not paid, or have sent me a check that I have not received yet. I have updated the first post in this thread with the latest information on payments, etc... PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CONTACT ME IF YOU BELIEVE YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN MARKED AS PAID BY NOW I have not cashed any of the checks yet. I will front the money to Jean, and will put your checks in next week as I make out the shipping labels...
  6. I've got my hands full with the watch purchase. We'd have to worry about copyright issues with scanning and putting it online.
  7. seen at Pet Smart... tag says "squeeze me" http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c5/joecooool//dick_bone.jpg
  8. I'm just impressed by how easily he drew the circle for the ball. Have you ever tried to draw a circle with etch-a-sketch? :willy:
  9. He's been posted here before... I guess he's equally crazy, but this other guy has no margin for error due to his proximity to the mountain
  10. surprise!
  11. Not a Ford here either... Is that an old school chevy V8? LT1? LS1?
  12. LS7 is out of my price range. I can definitely do a stroked normally aspirated LS2 at about 550 HP, gobs more torque, with no weight penalty though  Short blocks run about $3K.
  13. Been a while since I mentioned it. We have a links page for owner sites, clubs, manufacturers, etc... You can get to it from the top nav bar. I just added Buzz Billsberry's website to it.
  14. well, in stock form, yes it's cheaper. But in stock form, my Rotus didn't feel any faster than my stock C5 (although I never did any measurements - it just didn't really scare you when you hammered it). I talked to those guys about what it took to get 300+ hp out of that engine, and at that point, it wasn't cheap anymore. So, even with the extra 130 lbs, I thought it was more reliable to go with a stock LS1 and have a long lasting, reliable engine. As it turns out, then I decided 350 hp wasn't enough either
  15. got it. thanks
  16. hadn't seen that one for a few years... very impressive indead
  17. YouTube Video
  18. aluminumv8 is where i bought my rope kit when the main seal was leaking. I also found them very helpful. BTW, late model Range Rover 4.6L is the same block as the 215, with a little more power.
  19. I think this is my favorite super exotic: Ferrari P4/5 http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/images/ferrari-p45-2-big.jpg http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/images/ferrari-p45-3-big.jpg in case image embedding doesn't work http://www.supercars.net/Pics?v=y&s=c&id=3456&p=2006_Ferrari_P45byPininfarina3.jpg
  20. heh, i don't listen to rap, and i was starting to enjoy it :leaving:
  21. Sweet car! I'm not anywhere near Cincy, but if you have a layover in Washington DC, I'll buy you a drink. Unfortunately my car is out of commission for the start of the Mod season
  22. cool. I just looked through page 1, and the thing that stood out to me, was that there was only maybe 1 Ferrari in there
  23. ~ 400hp in an AWD 3000 lbs car...
  24. HE is probably not the programmer... dude was probably just cleaning the place, and the programmer is like: "here, have a sit for a minute. I'll be right back"
