OK, just based on the info there, and the pictures, it looks like a good deal to me.

It's really hard to say with a locost. You don't know if the engine was out of a $200 clunker, or fresh blueprinted engine, or somewhere in between. In either case, engines are easily upgraded. things like weld quality are not. There are some kick-ass locosts running around (for example R1 Seven). You should take a look at locostusa.com as well. Lots of info on locosts there. There may even be specific posts about the car you are trying to buy. Good luck. Where is it? maybe one of the forum members can look at it for you.

Arya and I almost bought it while coming down to Tapoco saturday morning. I had noticed a noise in the front end and had slowed down to the speed limit - taking it easy coming down from the crossroads. Just as we were going passed a full size Chevy truck (he was coming up the hill), a crotch rocket decided there was plenty of room between our car and the truck to make a pass. I put the right wheels on the white line and prayed for the best. The moron made it through. You cross the center line, you pay the price. I feel more sorry for the truck/boat owner, and the bike passenger.

heck, as long as they're OK with it being registered on the street - and just not cover it on the street, that is ONE HECK OF A DEAL for track insurance. It doesn't take much to do $600 in damages. Thanks for the lead.
