  1. Yellowss7 - love those wheels, what are they? Scud. Thanks. Where in Malaysia are you? I worked in Singapore for a few years - used to drive up to KL fairly regularly... and always got a fine for speeding on the way (back then you got one for speeding no matter what speed you were doing, well, you did if you were an ex-pat in a BMW )
  2. State Farm send me a mileage statement annually that I have to sign and return.
  3. Sorry, that should read full 'market' value, not replacement value!
  4. Rainman, mine is with state farm (2000 Zetec). It was originally insured through Parish Heacock, and I had thought only specialist insurers would touch these cars. However, I moved all my other car insurance over to SF a couple of years ago, and my agent wanted to bid on the Caterham, so I said as long as they could match the PH policy - including full replacement value - they could have the business. After a bit of back and forth, they gave me a policy with the same benefits/deductions but at around $250 less per year  My mileage limit is 3000 pa, but I'm sure you could go for more. I would not mention that you are using it for commuting - that could be a deal beaker. It helped a lot that the agent seemed to want to get the business IMHO. Good luck.
  5. I think he's added paddle shifters to what was a sequential shifter - both are connected, would be my guess.
  6. Check this out (keep an eye on the shifter) http://www.7tips.co.uk/7tips_site/Pembrey_Video.html
  7. Talking of panel vans... I was fortunate enough to get a ride in Ford's 'Supervan 2' at the Brands Hatch circuit (1985 I think). Cosworth power and room for a fridge freezer plus it went like stink. Only two laps, but smiles a mile wide. http://www.nsva.co.uk/ford_supervan_page.htm
  8. Thanks.
  9. Two breakfasts it is  We'll figure out where on the day. I'm planning to leave early Friday - around 6am probably - try and beat some of the heat. Steve. PS: could you do me a small favor? - I need a close up pic of the side fastener arrangement for the Jill Judd half hood when fitted (the locking studs on the boot cover). I've got the directions from their web site, but would like to see the fasteners in place before I start drilling out any rivets. Thanks!
  10. Al, I could give you a route to here that goes through some twisty bits - then if you don't like it you can leave the trailer here and I'll use it Does this mean you would rather have breakfast with Mrs Rowe than with me? I'm gutted
  11. The latest edition of 'Automobile' magazine (July) has an article of the Audi A8 on the dragon (steady, Al). Page 120. Enjoy.
  12. No excuses for not having the car ready for 7/7/7 now! :reddevil:
  13. The car - which is in Belgium - was know as the Madonna Special Edition after this photo appeared :jester:
  14. On the subject of happy marriages, the once optional 'bigger cans' are best avoided. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/52856154_big cans061.jpg
  15. And that's pretty much what it does... these road train boys seem to compete for who's got the biggest set of 'Roo Bars.' Same the world over
  16. I was driving across the Australian outback a few years ago in a charity event (in a 1970 Ford Fairlane - don't ask:eek: ). We had to drive through the night to catch up after replacing the gearbox and the Kangeroos were so think on the road it became impossible (and unsafe) to maintain any kind of speed. Until this guy came along... These boys stop for nothing, so tuck in and hang on, as the locals say. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1085742689_road train060.jpg
  17. Thanks Mazda, I for one cannot go without my daily fix of all things seven :hurray:
  18. Makes me ashamed to be a Brit... he is, as we say, a complete and utter tosser. And a wuss :ack:
  19. Good point. Thanks.
  20. Thanks Gert, I'm back in the UK in July and have been looking at the Raceco - expensive as you say. Might try to bring one back with me, could be interesting trying to get that through US customs...
  21. Thanks for that  Steve
  22. Gert, Car looks great. Is that a custom Muffler (and if so, where did you source it)? Thanks, Steve.
  23. Rod, I don't have a picture, but could photocopy the fitting instructions from the assembly guide and post them if that helps?
  24. Slightly off topic, but what is the material lining the walls of your garage (I'd like to insulate my garage, but don't want the hassle/expense of dry-waling)? Thanks.
