    barn find

I know this has been around on the net for a while, but for anyone who hasn't seen it, it will leave you gobsmacked (as we Brits like to say)... How would you like to have bought this property? Imagine going to live in Portugal. You buy a lovely farmhouse set on a decent plot of land. No-one has lived there for 15 years... While exploring your new property you find a large barn. The door is padlocked and welded shut and it's all rusted solid. Some time later you grind the padlock and the welds off, and look what's inside... www.intuh.net/barnfinds/afa70.htm
  7. Mazda, sounds about right.
  8. Thanks Al, that's the first footage I've seen of my car :hurray:

  11. you guys might find this interesting (posted on Blatchat today...) If what i'm hearing is correct Neil Booth's Westfield Megabusa ran 9.8 secs @ 152 mph at TOTB VI in the unlimited drag class using a 1300cc Hayabusa turbo tuned to an astonishing 650 bhp using standard box and diff eek smileyeek smiley
  12. I kind of miss the old banner, but then it was my photo The new one looks good - kind of like it's raining 7's. Maybe you could run a duotone (using the blues as a base) as a more 'discrete' version?
  13. Wish I could have been there - sounds like a great weekend - VIR is only 3 hours south of me, but I was in the UK. I did manage to get to a Sevens meet though, albeit the North East England chapter of the UK club. It was a great turnout given the weather they've been having (wettest summer for 200 years...), and there was an interesting mix of cars - about 15 intotal, including two bike engined sevens and two bike engined Mini's:eek: But what I found most interesting was this was a marque inclusive meeting, and that surprised me (in the UK) as most things outside a Caterham and Lotus are often frowned upon. Could be a function of geography - fewer sevens generally in the North (where men are men and sheep are nervous), so the cameraderie comes from a passion for these cars, rather than a particular badge. Either way, it confirms for me that the way the club wiorks here is the right way.
  14. Thanks, scannon, not sure they will stand much enlargement, but happy to send you files or a disc if you want. Let me know.
  15. A few pics I was printing from the 777 event 'went wrong' but they look kind of cool I think... Dean G and his series 1 http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1885901861_abstract series one074.jpg Old chasing new http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1500618509_abstract old and new073.jpg Me and my seven (and this time I really do look like Jabba T H!) http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/510855759_abstract me and 7072.jpg PS: I've been away for a couple of weeks and my mail box 'locked up' so apologies if anyone has been trying to mail me... Steve.
  16. I used to carry a spare head gasket on long trips...

    Ouch

I meant Eau Rouge :banghead: It's an age thing. The trick through there (so I'm told) is not to lift. He did.

    Ouch

The 'bus stop' at Spa I think. The smoke after he closes the door at the end probably sums up his mood
  20. My current seven was used and in v good shape, my first one was complete kit with drivetrain - but I can only vote once so have gone with the former (i.e. current car).
  21. I'm not from around here, but I seem to recall there was some local trouble last time this was suggested
