  1. Odd request, but more pics of the bumpers pls. May be useful for me too.
  2. Though, with the success they are having, wouldnt doubt that they are eye balling the heavy truck market also.
  3. so, lawn mower races are actually rally cross 7's?
  4. Is the Westfield article the one where they talk about kicking the car back into shape after hitting something?
  5. Cruising mane street!
  6. 35,000 rpm!
  7. Its on ebay, item #130155705227, buy it now $44,750. That thing looks like it is scary fast! Along with the Series 1 mentioned in another listing, a Stalker (Which from what i can see is a pretty solid deal), and a Caterham R500 there are a few 7's on Ebay right now. Also one calling itself a Diva. It qualifies as a 7 too.
  8. mmmmm She is still pretty, but ill take the pot roast pls.
  9. Its an 02, not the new monster that they have. Though it is a monster in its own right. But, i figure i dump 60k into my car it would be pretty fast too. So ill settle for quick and fun.
  10. heh, my LC7 got challenged for the first time. Being as its a pile of parts, a frame with some stuff tack welded to it, I must, say it is pretty intimidating. Especially the Darth Vader like tarp i have covering it. I was showing some pics of progress to the mechanics at our shop. The foreman comes over, who is a corvette fanatic, proceeds to exude the values of his vette (zo6) over my "car". A challenge ensued, so i said who evers car rusts first, wins. I won. He didn't find it as humorous as i did. But, proved my car does indeed do something faster than his. But, i look forward to seeing if i can even come close. I figure my 5k including tools vs his 60k (and lets not even start about his insurance) i figure i have plenty of leeway.
  11. Considered a 7 inch from a late model econo mustang?
  12. Sounds fun! As a side note about non starting charcoal. After a bike ride, we got home a few summers back and ours wouldn't light either. So the wives go to the store to get more lighter fluid. Oh nooooo, we would't wait! So we used citronella. It did a good job in getting fire started, and chasing bugs away. It also imparted a foul citronella taste to our burgers. Wives wouldnt eat them, and we did out of shere bravado. Man they were nasty. Though to this date i rarely have a problem with mosquito's.
  13. That takes a blat to a whole new level then.
  14. Very Very nice! Hope your going to have an available top as you wil need one to replace your stang.
  15. its a VERY nice car, but beyond me, sorry.
  16. Something i didnt know either.
  17. Last i think is a donkevort. And the top comes off if those bolt holes are real.
  18. Ok, what is Low Flying, a news letter?
  19. Usually a fair difference between at the crank and at the rear wheel. So i would say that you motor is probably close to spec.
  20. Ok, prob going to feel stupid about this, but there are abbreviations and words used on here that am don't know. Took me a bit to figure out that a blat is essentially a cruise, sometimes last minute. What is an LSiS among the other commonly used acronym's on here. I figured out ToTD and a few others but, a nice little sevenonics dictionary would be nice. Thanks in advance.
  21. Looks very nice, the farm implements is similar to our problem, riding the bike and coming around a corner where an Amish buggy is clopping along.
  22. I guess this is a real one. Ebay item number 300146036155 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1960-Lotus-Super-7-Series-2-project-car-kit-rebuild_W0QQitemZ300146036155QQihZ020QQcategoryZ6312QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  23. Truckstops will weigh a car for about 8 bucks. Each re-weigh is 1-2 bucks. On the first weigh, it can be front, rear, and gross with driver (or without). If they are not busy, they will ussually let you move around and get corner weights or whatever. If not wanting a printout, will sometimes do it all for free. Its how i did my drag cars.
  24. Truck driver here. A few years at college when i made the discovery that I hated working on other peoples cars. An interesting insight when training to do exactly that. So, hopped in a truck and been rolling ever since. Figure i am between the 2.0 and 2.5 million mile mark. Didn't know that much about 7's until i read the article in MT about Locosts. Got me interested, enough so that it became my new hobby, project etc. Wife calls it my obsession. Currently have a Ford f150, Dodge D100 (leaving ot make room for the 7 ), Toyota Corolla, T Bird, and Sea Ray 180sv. Only other toys had been straight line, but the autox and rally races I had seen looked fun. And lasted alot longer. So I found LocostUSA forum (which led me here) and lurked for a bit while I researched. My Tbird went on the back burner while i searched and saved. Bought a partially completed project off of another member (Randidly) which i have begun work on. Currently just finish welding and figuring out what is the next step to take. Hope to have it as a running roller this coming spring. After which i am looking forward to my own first autox and driving tests that summer.
