  1. day 2 was different. first run on these tires was great, then they got all hot and greasy, 2nd run i blasted a cone and spun hard, run 3 i was fearful so i lost time, run 4 i got some time back. i was going to run afternoon but my front right tire lost all the air... was coming out between the wheel and tire. i got it home ok but was to upset to drive back and watch the other 7's run. i got it remounted today and its holding air. ill be taking it for a spin in a bit to test it out again. o yea tires are falken rt615's. 10 min after they warm up they toss in enough gravel to to fill all the potholes in my area .

  3. finally updated this thread with working pics!
  4. i have cycle fender on my 7 . i am running a 235/40/17 tire up front now and i dont get much stones in the car when driving or turning. the only way objects get into the car is when they get kicked up , bounce off the ground, hit the rear fender and drop in your lap. and this is coming from a guy with with no real front windshield. http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/9246/cimg1671wr1.jpg http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/6164/cimg1670qi7.jpg
  5. id like to head up to fortwashington as well but the weather forecast is some crazy stuff... expecting hail in some parts of our area. EDITl: FROM THE HOPE LODGE WEBSITE!!!! "ALERT: The car show, originally scheduled for May 31, has been moved to June 1, due to the weather forecast."
  6. come out to the autocross in warmisnter pa on sunday and you will probably see tom and me in our 7's. it will help u get an idea of what your getting into.
  7. i was just making the point that they are very popular wheels in Europe.

  10. thanks for the input guys!
  11. i just got a deal on some 235/40/17 falken rt615's with 6/32's tread left. right now i have 215/45/17 and 234/40/ 17 on the car using 17x7 wheels. is it bad to use the same tire size front and rear? i was thinking it would be ok if i ran a higher tire pressure on the front then rear to offset the traction/over steer issues.
  12. im looking at steering wheels myself. the company i work with TMTUNING.COM in Berlin Germany has many nice steerings wheels. we sell mostly to US customers so dont worry about it being over seas. just go to tmtuning.com ~> vw or audi ~> interior ~> steering wheels check out the "RAID" wheels. they are the MOMO of europe. here is a nice one for $120 in any color! http://tmtuning.com/HOME/catalog/product_detail.php?default_product=623
  13. dang! im really sorry i missed this meet. we should have a 7's only meet up on Sunday at the warminster auto cross. on a normal Sunday there is usually 3 7's anyway, we could def have a race, cruse and dinner type of thing. jwduncan, can you put up some pics of your car?

  19. weather is still rain! cant drive a 7 with no roof
  20. im loving these little reports LOL!! while i read them i hear it in my head in the voice of a horse racing track announcer. suck about the rain though, i hope someone has an umbrella for him. :7rain:
  21. i used the 2 mounting points behind the seat and 2 on the bottom; the seat is very SOLID. i also used the old rear end bushings (if you guys remember my old post about that) to raise my seat an inch or so cause i cant see over the hood. at this point Tom would fit like a glove, but will need to remove shoes so he does hit hit gas and break at the same time. i still have yet to do anything about the 5th point though... def gota think bout that one. im afriad of drilling that bar in front of the seats and having it flex ot break on me under heavy driving. i think im gona have it welded.
  22. dang, i feel lucky. i only knew about 7's for 2 years and was actually llooking for only a few months.
  23. yea, next is exhuast... after looking at my car the shop quoted me at $2500 for header with equal length runners and nascar style oval pipe out the read with QUIET muffers.
