I got a ride in this one a few years ago. Powered by a 400 HP Cadillac engine it performed much better than I expected. It was the Barret Jackson poster car the year Phil bought it.

When I saw the title I just had to open it. Enjoy Subject: Email From General Stanley Mc Chrystal Greetings My Name is General Stanley Mc Chrystal, the commander of the International Security Assistant forces (ISAF) here in Afghanistan; from the United States. First and foremost I sincerely apologize to you by contacting you through this medium. I acquire the sum of $11, 000,000 million dollars and I am looking for a capable person that can help me in investing this funds in his country, I could not transfer this funds to my country for security reasons to protect my status as a serving General and to save me for been questioned or probe by the house of pentagon. We recovered $580,000,000 million dollars in the Taliban strong hold after a heavy shoot out with the Multi- international forces here in Afghanistan, in this process I could secure the funds secretly with the knowledge of anyone. I want to move the fund secretly to somewhere without any traces and invest it, I am looking for matured and God fearing personnel to receive this fund on my behalf. I am offering 30% percent of the total fund and the remaining 70% will be invested in your country with your partnership. But we must keep a very low profile of communication for security reasons and to protect my status and position. Thanking you in anticipation. Hope to hear from you soonest. Best regards. Gen Stanley Mc Chrystal

It looks like a Se7en version of a Hot Rod Model T pickup. I agree it probably doesn't have much, if any aero advantage but it makes up for it in the cool factor.

About to pull the trigger, but have some important questions

I'd suggest you call Ben and get the straight info. He's a little hard to catch but easy to talk to when you do. Don't just leave a message, keep calling back until you get him. -
FWIW, it might be easier to move the filter up front and run the duct back to the throttle body. It would save building a box around the filter and be cleaner looking. I like the way moving the battery cleaned up your engine compartment. You might want to consider moving the battery down to the bottom of the frame under the intake manifold. Helps with a lower center of gravity and would further cleanup the firewall area.

It's certainly not limited to government workers. I spent my career in aerospace. At one large company I worked for they would have been better off to pay about 40% of the so called workers to stay home altogether. Not only were they non-productive, they got in the way of the few who actually did the work. There were times I had to literally sit at someones desk and do their job to get the information I needed to do my own. These people were too busy politicking or just plain goofing off to do their own work. It was discovered that one fellow in my department would come in early, clock in then leave for another job. Come back late and clock out and collect his eight hours plus some overtime. He actually worked at our company about 3 hours a day. They couldn't fire him until they caught him kiting checks between the various company cashiers offices.

That's OK, I can't remember when I was filthy rich either.

A guy goes to the Post Office to apply for a job. The interviewer asks him, "Are you allergic to anything?" He replies, "Yes, caffeine." "Have you ever been in the military service?" "Yes," he says, "I was in Iraq for two years." The interviewer says, "That will give you 5 extra points toward employment." Then he asks, "Are you disabled in any way?" The guy says, "Yes. A bomb exploded near me and I lost both of my testicles" The interviewer grimaces and then says, "O.K. You've got enough points for me to hire you right now. Our normal hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. You can start tomorrow at 10:00 - and plan on starting at 10:00 A.M. every day." The guy is puzzled and asks, "If the work hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., why don't you want me here until 10:00 A.M.?" "This is a government job," the interviewer says, "For the first two hours, we just stand around drinking coffee and scratching our balls. No point in you coming in for that."

That's a lot of darkening on the exhaust for only 183 miles. Must have all been at WOT. IIRC, the original seller claimed it had only been up and down his driveway once.

You, who worry about democrats versus republicans -- relax, here is our real problem. In a Purdue University classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States . It was pretty simple the candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age. However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president. The class was taking it in and letting her rant, and not many jaws hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating "What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?" Yep, these are the same kind of 18-year-old that just voted in our last election! They breed and they walk among us.

Here's a suggestion which has worked well for me when teaching someone to drive a stick. Start in a large, empty parking lot. Demonstrate to the student that it is possible to get the car moving without using the throttle pedal. Easy to do in a Miata. Then have them attempt it emphasizing the smoothness of the foot when coming up with the pedal. Once they have mastered that (the feel of the engagement point) they are ready to add throttle for a normal take off, then on to shifting. Another common suggestion is never try to teach someone you are in a relationship with. Get someone else to do and save your relationship.

Gert, I'm interested in the trip. If you plan for two weeks how about including Glacier National Park?

I'm sure that ownership of a Se7en would qualify me (that and bags of $$s).

Put me on the waiting list for one. I'll take delivery right after I win the Lotto.

How about an update? Did anyone buy and install a Hushpower? I'm ready to convert from rear exit exhaust to side exit and would like to get an idea how loud it's going to be.

Read how it would work below, before viewing the video link. A brilliant new Chinese train idea is for passengers to get on and off a bullet train without the train stopping. No time is wasted. The bullet train is moving all the time. If there were 30 stations between Beijing and Guangzhou, just stopping and accelerating again at each station will waste both energy and time. A mere 5 min. stop per station (elderly passengers cannot be hurried) will result in a total loss of 5 min. x 30 stations or 2.5 hours of train journey time! To learn how it would work, read the text below and then view the video. (The video commentary is in Mandarin!) 1. For those who are boarding the train: The passengers at a station embark onto to a connector cabin way before the train even arrives at the station. When the train arrives, it will not stop. It just slows down to pick up the connector cabin which will move with the train on the roof of the train. While the train is still moving away from the station, those passengers will board the train from the connector cabin mounted on the train's roof. After fully unloading all its passengers, the connector cabin will be moved to the back of the train so that the next batch of outgoing passengers who want to alight at the next station will board the connector cabin at the rear of the train roof. 2. For those who are getting off: As stated, after fully unloading all its passengers, the connector cabin will be moved to the back of the train so that the next batch of outgoing passengers who want to alight at the next station will board the connector cabin at the rear of the train roof. When the train arrives at the next station, it will simply drop the whole connector cabin at the station itself and leave it behind at the station. The outgoing passengers can take their own time to disembark at the station while the train has already left. At the same time, the train will pick up the incoming embarking passengers on another connector cabin in the front part of the train's roof. So the train will always drop one connector cabin at the rear of its roof and pick up a new connector cabin in the front at each station. 3. This is called innovative thinking.
