  1. I recently had a car shipped to me in Grants Pass, OR from McVeytown, PA with Thomas Sunday (Thomas Sunday). My first choice (by recommendation) was Straight Roads (Gary Straight) but wound up using Thomas Sunday by default. Fully enclosed dedicated car transporter, door to door delivery (if space available at drop-off point), fully insured and bonded. Great people, terrific caring driver.......Great experience and will use either Straight Roads or Thomas Sunday again if the need should arise again in the future. Sunday and Straight work together and whoever has space available first will be happy to have your business. Due to timing and weather issues you need to be patient as carriers can't make a light-load trip cross country unless you have the deep enough pockets necessary to afford the transport without a full load. Short distance would probably be fine with an open trailer, but this time of year with the national weather as it is and the time/distance involved (and the value of the auto being transported) I wouldn't consider anything other than fully enclosed. My car arrived in perfect condition and was covered in the transporter as it was on the "ground floor" with another car right above it. Believe me, they do take care of your "baby".
  2. How could I forget about the 2 Isuzu Impulses I owned during the mid '80's? Loved them both.

  4. When I wanted to color-match the Caterham yellow to paint the 7 logo grill on my '02 Roadsport I took the nose cone to our local automotive PPG dealer/distributor. They had a scanner and matched the color perfectly. Worth a try! Hope this helps you out. BTW, of course, they gave me the code they came up with. I'll try to find it for you.
  5. Skip, you've touched on something that's very special to me! I saw a sample of Animusic a few years ago and immediately purchased both Animusic 1 & 2. To this day, every few months I play both DVDs and enjoy them just as much as the first time. Absolutely incredible! Animusic 3 is about to be released so will be getting that one, also. I think I bought 1 & 2 on Amazon, but it could have been eBay (but doubtful). YouTube has a few videos (but not all of them), so if any of you want to see more, here's your opportunity. Of course, if Animusic is your thing, the DVDs are the optimal way to go. Enjoy!
  6. Clever.........great idea!
  7. When I titled and registered my newly built Caterham in 6/03 here in Oregon, the laws were specific and w/o exceptions: if it has a 17 digit VIN that is how it is registered. Even though the build wasn't completed until 6/03, it's titled as a 2002 Caterham Roadster because the VIN indicates the chassis was brought into the USA (Caterham Denver) in 11/02. I proposed all types of identification, but the home office of the DMV in Salem was firm. The lady I spoke with at the time even knew of the Lotus 7 and the subsequent ownership by Caterham. As a tradeoff, the registration process was a very simple affair, and here in Josephine County we have no smog inspections. I couldn't be happier!
  8. On a somewhat related note.... with credit due to Drew Carey published in The Bathroom Readers' Institute book Uncle John's Heavy Duty Bathroom Reader he stated: "Kissing is just pushing your lips against the sweet end of 66' of intestines."
  9. Absolutely love it, also! Here in Oregon, tree huggers are a real PITA.....a fitting example of where they all should be. Our state used to be very prosperous thanks to the timber industry, but since the feds have reneged on their annual payments in lieu of the O&C timber payments for land-grabbed forests (for the preservation of the infamous "Spotted Owl"), those payments of ~ 12M to 14M per year have slowly vanished to what we have for this year: $1M token emergency payment, and in future years, none. Talk about a screwing! For those interested, you can follow the saga of the failed property tax additional levy that just failed to pass (to support criminal justice, prosecutors, adult & juvenile jail, downsizing of the inmate population) here in Josephine County more than likely through Google. Got to stop!!!!!! I get so wound up I could go on & on....
  10. If I may, I'd like to add a couple of cents (sense?) to this spirited discussion: fast through the corners, straightaway drag race to the next corner, at the end it's what the timer registers....lap times are lap times, whether you're timing against yourself or others in your session. If you're a pro or competitive racer, of course you want to post the fastest (best?) time. All in all, enjoy, learn, and improve your times in stages, little by little. None of us want to die in our Sevens to prove a point. I'm totally happy with the TWM/Pectel ITB setup on my Zetec. I'm not a track racer, but my Cat has all the power I need for a head-turning street machine and don't need anymore. The 3 7's I've had at different times in my lifetime have given me an enormous amount of satisfaction and pleasure, but still really admire those of you that want to squeeze all you can out of the car, if for nothing more than the ability to engineer and produce results and to satisfy your interests and curiousity,i.e. just because you can. You're blessed!
  11. Both eerie and fascinating.....loved it!
  12. Hi, Skip; Two years ago I visited my son who lives in Wheat Ridge, and we drove to Caterham/Denver on two consecutive days, Tue. & Wed, finding it closed with no indication of anyone around or any crates on the property. With no visible signage on the exterior of the building, I wasn't even sure I'd found the right address. The phone rang but no one answered, not even an answering machine. Can you give me their new address, as we're probably going to make another trip there this year? Also, Skip, would you mind if I gave you a call when we're there to meet you and see your Caterham and workshop that others have visited? Seems like a hub of "7" activity.
  13. Of course, sorry to hear of all the problems with mother nature in NZ, as our visit to and around Auckland in '94 was awe-inspiring. Immediately after leaving Auckland we flew on to spend 2 weeks in Brisbane for the World Master Games. We have such fond memories of Brisbane and its people that we have thought many times about returning there sometime in the future. The best of life and luck to you and your family in the future, Kiwi! Couldn't be a better choice for a move in your part of the world.
  14. My notification from PayPal states that payment was sent 3/2 @ 11:47 PM to your email address but remains unclaimed by yourself. When I sent payment, the PayPal notification (confirmation) stated that they didn't have an account in that name and that it has to be claimed. I have a transaction # for you if you need it. In other words, payment has been sent but not claimed. Hope we can resolve this snafu quickly......don't understand what the problem is, as I've sent payments previously to others without problems.
  15. Hi, Alaskossie; Payment in the amount of $25.00 just sent from my PayPal account to yours. Looking forward to receiving it, and again, thank you!
