I moved the snowblower out of the way, and rolled out the S1 for the first time in months. Went to the car wash and cleaned it up, peeled off the top, and drove around for a few hours. Almost forgot how much fun it is. Very ready for the nicer weather and getting out with the others in the NE.

That woke me up... If I were riding shotgun with Mr. Zwart, I'd be screaming like a little girl all the way up.... LOL

Karl, I don't think there are many of us well over 200 pounds and way over 6 feet driving 7's. So the need for a tall bar is low I guess and the top won't fit, like Martin said. I found your car very comfortable, look forward to hearing the new Cosworth. Colin Chapman would be proud of you !!!

Only the dumb guys travel without: " A cell phone and AAA card" Plus- fix-a flat, ( no spare) , Mag light, small tool kit, water, two sweatshirts, sometimes the top, sometimes a bag for the beach. If I need to load up more than that, I'll take the Envoy.

Hi Stig, I looked at a Westy at Don Rosen Porsche-Audi like the one you are looking at. It had a blue nose , no Agip stickers. Hi Tom, The hoops are welded on. It would take a fair amount of work to get a proper cage on it. But I still have my design for it at work and I would enjoy building it. But it would mean no more top supports and no more use of the top, rear trunk cover, cutting out some of the interior. I gave this much thought years ago and I think it would be ashame to hack the S1 up. Plus my wife said I'd be a jackass to cut it up. So if the powers to be at NJMP stick with the broomstick rule, not mention 4 points of attachment at the minium, ect.ect. I have to say that I don't blame them and understand that they are looking out for everyones safety.

I pulled all of the padding out of my seat and replaced it with a blue foam that Pegasus Racing sells. That lowered me down an inch or so. Pulling out the seat is easy, and that will put me on the floor, not to sure how my butt and back will like it. Even that won't get me under the hoop. Will see how, " Tom For Club President" can do with the organizers . Is it going to be spring soon ?????? Snowing here in Ambler !!!!

I know that I can't pass the broomstick test. My head clears the hoop without a helment on. Maybe DaveD will have better luck. The Cobra guys just rent the track on their own, and then just do what they want !!!

All this talk of track days and blats made me go for a ride , I haven't been out in 6 weeks. And I tryed out my new camera that Santa gave me !!!! It's 37 out !!! Sorry about the lack of a picture, can't seem to get it to up-load, but you know what it looks like !!! LOL
