  7. Stig, Mine looks like the harborfreight unit. Thats also a good price for one. I also tryed a model that plugs in my Aircompresser, but I thought it was over rated. And it was alot more money. Just a little heads up on the subject, I always do the clutch when I bleed the brakes. Clutch fluid always seems crapped up and darker than the brake fluid. I have know idea why. Mike, CSI boffins, Thats funny !!!!!
  8. I'll take a CSR please..............
  9. My s1 has Wilwood stainless steel brake lines and I have had no problems with them in 9 years. Wilwood also has a great tech line that you can call and get some real answers. Glad you caught this brake problem before it turned ugly. I have a nice brake bleeding tool if you need it.
  10. Hi Bruce, Always up for a drive with you and our NJ,PA, group. You'll have to see who's up for it. You know, Too cold, No top, Bridge is closed, Where can I park the trailer, I'm afraid I'll drive off the road again, ( Oh you missed that one) ect.ect..... LOL

  14. I also have the backsaver from Pegasus. I bought the big size and covered the whole seat. It's much better than the cheap foam it replaced. Bruce is correct, its temp sensitive. Its the only thing I could find. But I like it.....

    Cat Bites

Skip , Get well soon....... Cat, The other white meat....... Mighty Mike, You are funny......
  17. Ian, You have a very valid point, I have to say ,I thought of the consequences every time I went into turn 4 at Poconco at well over 100 mph in my 7, ( North course). I have also run the oval at Pocono and Loew's Motor Speedway in my Mustang Cobra at 130 +. I think back on it now, and I think good luck, average skill, and good car prep, and common sense keep me off the very hard retaining walls. Point well taking.....
  18. We have a TD, MGA, and a MGB in the family, I have seen lots of Lucas smoke... LOL
  19. Seems to be a day for things falling apart or breaking. Out enjoying the nice weather, and half way thru my ride I hear a banging sound under my seat and on my left leg. Turns out the rubber mount that holds the side pipe to the bracket thats welded to the frame broke. And the side pipe was banging against the bracket. I thought I broke the frame under the seat. Just did a nut and bolt, so I thought, Oh No. All fixed and ready for the Poconos. Steve
  20. Dear Bessie, Nice that YOU checked in with us, seems that your owner has fallen off the face of the earth again. I thought you would have been back in NJ with plenty of miles on you by now. I know, He tells us all the time he is very busy... Maybe 2012 will be your year, if not, maybe a group of us will come out and get you, and finish you back here on the right coast.. Miss you Bessie, S1 #47

    Hurricane Irene

Watching Spa practice and the Weather Channel at the same time. This looks like the big one. Stay Safe East Coasters.....
  23. Skip, Thanks for the new screen saver... Pretty poor bit of driving ...
  24. Mike, Mine is a little metal box with a black button in the middle. If you have one and tripped it, just push the black button and re-set it. Mine is tucked up under the dash on the co-pilot side. Go grab a beer and a flash light.... Maybe a fellow Birkin owner can give you more details, or call Dick.. Hope you get it sorted soon Mike.
  25. Hi Mike, I am not sure if a Birkin has one, ( Superformance does), fuel shut off switch under the dash. I read you put your foot in it. I can trip mine if I shift from 1st to 2nd way up in the rev range. Something you may want to look for . Enjoy it !!!!! Steve
