How on earth did they plan out the camera angles? Superb job! I take it from the video that these are the same 4 guys that did the video on the treadmills?

You know, if someone were to buy my Megabusa I would so by a used Smart and put a Busa drivetrain in it. Killer setup. Little top heavy probably.
-
Makes me want a detachable wood steering wheel on my megabusa. To add that historic touch.
-
Very nice! Like the license plate.

Murder at Wal-Mart So, here's the story. . . Tired of constantly being broke & stuck in an unhappy marriage, a young husband decided to solve both problems by taking out a large insurance policy on his wife with himself as the beneficiary, and then arranging to have her killed. A 'friend of a friend' put him in touch with a nefarious dark-side underworld figure who went by the name of 'Artie.' Artie then explained to the husband that his going price for snuffing out a spouse was $5,000. The husband said he was willing to pay that amount, but that he wouldn't have any cash on hand until he could collect his wife's insurance money. Artie insisted on being paid at least something up front, so the man opened his wallet, displaying the single dollar bill that rested inside. Artie sighed, rolled his eyes, & reluctantly agreed to accept the dollar as down payment for the dirty deed. A few days later, Artie followed the man's wife to the local Super Wal-Mart store. There, he surprised her in the produce department & proceeded to strangle her with his gloved hands as the poor unsuspecting woman drew her last breath & slumped to the floor........ The manager of the produce department stumbled unexpectedly onto the murder scene. Unwilling to leave any living witnesses behind, ol' Artie had no choice but to strangle the produce manager as well. However, unknown to Artie, the entire proceedings were captured by the hidden security cameras & observed by the store's security guard, who immediately called the police. Artie was caught & arrested before he could even leave the store. Under intense questioning at the police station, Artie revealed the whole sordid plan, including his unusual financial arrangements with the hapless husband who was also quickly arrested. The next day in the newspaper, the headline declared ... (You're going to hate me for this ... ) 'ARTIE CHOKES 2 for $1.00 AT WAL-MART!'

I drove the Megabusa for an hour yesterday and 4 hours today. Beautiful weather! -Got the Goodyear slicks mounted to the 13x7 wheels -Installed LED turn signals in the rear -Swapped the 2" Westfield 4pt harnesses in favor of 3" G-Force 6pt variants -Bypassed the dead brake pressure switch with a microswitch behind the brake pedal -Replaced the dead microswitch for the parking brake

Sports & Exotic Car magazine article
Hank replied to Mike Rohaley's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Is that magazine found at places like Barnes & Noble and Books a Million? Been a long time since I had free time to read mags. Beautiful cover shot! -
Made my afternoon. Thanks gentlemen.

OMG that was the easiest autox track I have ever seen. Kudos to you and your wife. I love the sound of that car! Here's a sample of a local autocross. Yeah, yeah, we have to flour the course lines for the newbies.

Both Spaz and speedcraft guessed 1150 so they were the closest to the as-found weight I believe.

Maybe I need to convert her to RHD? Guess it wouldn't have hurt to get in the passenger seat just to see. Can't believe I didn't think of that.

Wow, what a fat pig. Without me in it. Full tank of gas (~12 gallons). 15" rims and Falken Azenis RT-615 street tires. Removed fire extinguisher. 267 279 347 291 Total Wt. 1184 Front Bias 46.1% Rear Bias 53.9% Left Bias 51.9% Right Bias 48.1% Same as above but with me in it. Shirt, pants, and shoes. No helmet. 305 284 442 341 Total Wt. 1372 Front Bias 42.9% Rear Bias 57.1% Left Bias 54.4% Right Bias 45.6% Plans to ditch weight: 1) Install 13" wheels and bias ply slicks = drop 80 lb (1104 lb) 2) Drain to 1/4 tank for autox = drop 48 lb (1056 lb) 3) Not a chance in hell of me doing this, but if I removed the roll cage/bolts = drop 60 lb (996 lb) 4) Trim bolts 5) Remove the passenger seat, harnesses = drop 20 lb? (race only) 6) Remove the headlights = drop 5 lb? (race only) 7) Remove the front fenders/brackets = drop 10 lb? (race only) 8) Hack up the rotors (front/rear) = drop 20 lb? 9) Work out more to go down to 175 lb 10) Turbocharge the engine to 300 HP and forget about everything else. YES! So, the Westfield Megabusa flyer indicates the weight as (around 940 lb). I didn't install the rear fiberglass trunk (6.2 lb). I removed the reverse box (35 lb). I used 4 piston front brakes, secondary master cylinder. Thoughts? Ideas? :ack:

Cool videos. I built a FSAE in 2002 for LSU. We used a 20 mm restrictor orifice in our intake manifold. Got our butts kicked at competition in Detroit. It was fun though!

Can you post pics of your Stalker with them mounted?

Well, I figured the dirt track guy would want to go adjusting my car and what not, so I locked all of my tools up in the back bedroom. My goal is to roll the car on the scales and see where I'm at. If he brings some tools and can adjust the car while I'm in it then I might go for it. Might make it interesting and leave the engine running and give him 2 minutes to do it. *air impact noises*

Soooo... A dirt track guy is bringing his scales over to my house tomorrow.

Sadly, the total opposite is true for almost the same situation that happened on a commercial airliner. The pilots tried to control the elevation and overall control of their Boeing 747 by using the 4 engine throttles only since the hydraulic system failed when the tail section broke off. After 20 minutes of fighting the aircraft it crashed killing all but 4 people. Second worst commercial aircraft disaster to date (520 killed). The 4 that lived were in the last row of seats at the back. It is estimated they survived an impact approaching 100 g. After the crash Boeing simulated the situation and not one group of pilots could successfully land the aircraft.

Probably a blue winch cable that is edited out later in post production.
