  1. I love every single thing about this build except one thing. Please tell me you aren't going to use that tiny roll bar? With that much power this car needs a proper cage! Triangulation is key for structural integrity in a roll over. That one hoop with 2 bars projecting rear ward will simply bend backwards in a crash and not protect you at all.
  2. Wait until I put the A/C & heat kit in the deuce.
  3. I went with a totally different steering box mounted on the outside of the frame with ports for a 5 ton power steering pump. The system was purchased from Waterloo Specialties LINK HERE. I didn't want the danger of a true hydraulic steering having a double acting ram because if one of the lines comes off then you can't steer. The air-o-matic isn't made anymore and it is hard to find a kit. This system is just like my 2003 Ford Expedition, only larger.
  4. I finished the major portion of bobbing my 1970 deuce & 1/2. Put a custom 8" frame lift, 53" tires, 2-piece HEMTT wheels, M105A2 trailer bed, custom stainless brake lines, LED f/r/headlights. Next up is to install a custom power steering kit, under dash military A/C & heater kit and PAINT IT! http://www.hanksdeuce.com/images/bobbedwithexped.jpg http://www.hanksdeuce.com/images/07side.jpg http://www.hanksdeuce.com/images/08corner.jpg Front & Rear frame cover plates: http://www.hanksdeuce.com/images/IMG_1329.jpg
  5. That is one angry Lotus 7! Wow!
  6. That bird had good aim! Lol.
  7. Here's another good one: http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x474/Jason_Waste/fun16.jpg
  8. The real gay test: Is this a good looking car that you would drive and have fun with your boyfriend? http://www.f150forum.com/attachments/f15/37943d1301852758t-mazda-miata-love-thread-miata3.jpg
  9. She is still for sale.
  10. Does that car have rock sliders bolted to the frame? lol
  11. My Megabusa rollcage is from Caged in the UK. I'm 6'1" and can climb in through the side. I use Simpson arm restraints and a G-force 6 point harness. Pics can be found on my website below.
  12. Does that bump affect a lot of other cars with cold tires (seven or not)? It seems strange to have a bump right there, but I'm not familiar with that track at all. You would think they could have planed out the peak of the hill down a bit to lessen the bump. When in doubt, blame it on the paving crew. We do it all the time for Louisiana roads!
  13. Glad you are ok. Cars can be fixed. I wish you luck in the rebuilding phase. Thank god for a supporting wife.
  14. 7evin, do you have any problems with air bypassing your radiator by deflecting over the top of those front wings? Lol at the Miata comments. You can only polish a turd so much. Even Mythbusters proved that. To each his own.
  15. Less than $200 for a gear indicator for a Busa sequential tranny.
  16. So pudgy little Matt Farararararar gets to take a hobbled together "stupercar" around California after the shop that built it fixed it a few times. Wow! Nice caulking holding the dash pod together. I might need a tetanus shot to go into that Stafford garage (IF I could find it out in the hood). Not gonna lie. I'd drive the hell out of it in between breakages!
  17. I updated the bottom of my build page to show pictures of the new carbon fiber front fenders (cycle wings) that I put on the Megabusa recently. Warning: Pictures were taken in a K-mart parking lot. Viewer discretion is advised. http://www.hanksmegabusa.com/thebuild.htm http://hanksmegabusa.com/images/032112/01.jpg
  18. Robert: I sent you an email. For others interested: Before I made the Megabusa street legal, I sold the factory reverse box & lever assembly to Tom McClintock over at Manik Technologies as a spare for other Megabusa owners. I still have both factory driveshafts that bolt between the engine/reverse box/rear differential. The driveshafts, as well as all other spare parts from the kit that I didn't use, will go along with the Megabusa at no charge. Simply purchase the reverse box & lever assembly from Tom and everything will bolt up like the factory kit.
  19. Anybody interested in making me an offer?
  20. No brakes. Lol. Watch the driver closely.
  21. Thanks for the link. That was a pretty good episode.

    The Morning Pee

That dog video won $10,000 then came back to win $100,000 on America's Funniest Videos tv show.
  23. I'm at work at the moment but I think a 6'4" driver with helmet could clear the cage. As stated above no waist bigger than 36". The seats are on adjustable rails. Pedals are not adjustable. No reverse.
  24. Revised price to $30k for car & trailer combo.
  25. Around here they don't test race cars for sound regulations. If they did, we would probably buy the tester a case of beer and be passed over. Is there a chance you could do that and keep the car like it is?
