The value added tax applies for UK residents only, you can get an exemption at time of purchase (easier for the company you are dealing with to do) , or pay it, then submit receipts and claims thru HM Customs and Excise.

I guess it would be hard within the state the car was originally titled, but does anyone know if it it is possible to, say for example, with a car that is registered with it's "true date of build and birth" say 1995 for example in one state, and you buy that car, and then want to register the car as, say a 1965 ,in your home state to avoid smog tests etc?? Doable or am I dreaming?

Whre do you get your cars weighed and with front to rear and side to side balance. All I can do here is sneak on the DOT truck weigh points when no one is around,lol.

Skip, Do you think that would pretty much hold true for all 7,s, I guess it would not be far off. It,s odd cuz when I look at the car it would appear more nose heavy, but then again I guess if you plop a couple of hundred pounds almost on the back axle it should balance things out hey.

I have pondered this for some time: What is the front to rear weight ratio on a typical 7. Then, what is the effect on that ratio by adding or subtracting driver,passenger, gas in the tank and spare wheel ? What is the subsequent change in handling characteristics ? I am guessing it must make big changes in such a light car and wondered if anyone has experiences or experimented on a track with this.

I do heel and toe, I never knew it till now. It.s when I wear regular sized shoes,I think i can heel and toe all 3 pedals with one foot.

It is a car hey, ...did you see the side exhaust pipes with the points you could stab a pickle with, wow. I love the switch gear, looks like he raided a 100 year old house. Anybody know what those 2 green glass tubes on the dash are?? they look look spirit levels.
