  1. There are a number of B6 Tillet seats in their range. I use the B6 Screamer with edges cut in a few Caterhams. I think I have purchased 6 over the years. The difference to the regular B6 is one of FIA certification. The Screamer has been FIA certified - its essentially stronger/thicker/heavier. I like it - very comfortable. I use it with the seating pads to stop sliding me moving on the smooth composite surface. I use the seat with the TBI brackets.
  2. Week Beginning February 25, 2024 Ten years ago, this thread started with the intent of highlighting used Se7ens for sale in the North American market place from a variety of ad sources, Ebay, Craigslist, Hemmings, dealers, etc. Over time the advertising landscape has changed. In the beginning it was fairly limited - the USA7s Classified Section, Ebay, Hemmings and Craigslist - were essentially the only primary sources of where to look when buying a used Se7en. Now, Craigslist has disappeared thanks to its practice of adding listing fees plus sellers polluting key word searches. Ebay is rarely used. However, the USA7s Classified Ad section, Facebook MarketPlace and BringaTrailer have come to the front as the primary selling markets today. With 1.3 Million views and nearly 4000 postings, this section is by far the most active part of the USA7s forum. By consolidating the various ads into a single summary listing each week, we believe this is the best place to get a quick read of what Se7ens are available for sale in the market. Its not perfect as there are always some ads that get missed given the difficulties of electronically searching and capturing the listings for sale. However, its free to all who come to participate in the USA7s Club. USA7s does not get a commission or fee from any seller or buyer for this listing summary. It does not even require a paid membership by hiding this listing behind a paywall. It is a service to the Se7en community to help prospective buyers who want to try out a Se7en ownership experience. USA7s is a registered non-profit club, for all Se7en marques, that wants to spread the word of what fun our amazing little cars can be! Happy motoring! 3. Magazine is sitting on my coffee table right now. Open to an ad for an Aston Martin but....
  4. Its a track day(s) for se7ens. Have a read through of last year's instructions to gain a flavor of what it is. The photo thread from 2022 is here
  5. A few of us on here have used Evans, including me. Do a search for "Evans." I ran it in my old yellow SVT Zetec Caterham for a while. The idea was to lower the pressure on hose connections and improve cooling efficiency. You are supposed to reverse the coolant flow around the engine to get full benefits but I was experimenting and did not do that. I do run in it my V12 cars as they have a tendency to shoot up in temperatures the moment you hit traffic and airflow through the radiator, as originally designed, is limited plus the cooling system pressures are insanely high so hose blow-offs are a significant risk. Evans works well as you can radically lower the pressure in the system as the boiling point is so high - boiling point is 375degF. Its also great if you have a cooling challenged race car - for example some race cars do not run fans to provide cooling flow to the radiator and rely on limited operating time stationary (its a weight saving thing). However, most tracks have banned it as it is incredibly slippy once spilt. If changing from regular coolant/water to Evans and back then you are supposed to use a special flush/prep solution to clear out the cooling system. Mixing it is a bad thing but I am not sure what the technical background to that is. It was an interesting experiment but I did not see the benefits in my Caterham application. My view has always been that you should make sure your cooling system works properly before you try to use something like Evans as a fix. The last thing against it is that it is expensive. Last I looked it was $50 a gallon.
  6. The port is a J1962 plug. You don't say what engine is installed but depending on that and the ECU, sometimes data is readable via an OBDII reader but will be full of faults (to be expected since its looking for a original car fuel and emissions system), or will simply not read anything. The Caterham ECU on say a 2013 era Duratec does produce CAN data which can be read by Easimap or data loggers but its not OBDII format which a state government emissions test needs for its software to process.
  7. That was an early UK originated 'marque-inclusive' forum - 1997 era. I am astounded the site is still around - it still looks the same! http://www.se7ens.net/ There was a US Yahoo version that came a little later. It worked like a mailing list with a post to a basic list type of internet page. Responses to the email would add to the posted chain. There was a similar Yahoo group for Birkin, the residual pieces from which were incorporated into USA7s maybe 4-5 years ago (?) when Yahoo shut that functionality down. Plus I believe even Stalker had their own site. Those Yahoo mailing list groups were incredibly useful in the early days although we may laugh at what they look like now. Before that the in-person club meets were the only way to share knowledge. The learning curve was brutal pre-internet. @BirkinBernie may be able to add some meat to the history here on the Birkin Yahoo group. Lets see if I can get Mazda or Al to add to the story @mebrahimi @Al N.
  8. @Vovchandr This is right up your pain point!
  9. Tell me where there is no brutal traffic in this blasted city!!!!
  10. Some states do kit cars as "reconstructed" which is a offshoot of a salvage title. The logic (if you think a State government can have logic...) is that the parts came from another car and were reconstructed. Once one state calls it reconstructed then the following states will. Its like virginity, once lost then never regained..... I don't think it was ever a salvage car but one afflicted with the quirks and sufferings of stupid state bureaucrats. But buyer should do due diligence to confirm thats what NC does for kit cars.
  11. Were these guys ever associated with the Radical and Exotic Car dealership on Rt 17? Seem so close. Original poster is Brooklyn so heading the other way to Long Island probably makes more sense for him. The Hudson bridge and tunnel scene is a shocker these days and with congestion pricing coming - ugh!!!!
  12. @Kitcat Mike - come on you said this logo origin story today on Bringatwat. You were there at the beginning.
  13. I guess you have never used Google search before? Manhattan UES and Midtown https://www.paddocknyc.com/ Manhattan and Tri-State https://www.veluxityexoticcarrental.com/exotic-and-classic-car-storage Queens - New Hyde Park (your car would be the second Caterham in this suburb if here - another long-time USA7s member is there) https://www.deluxecarstorage.com/ Long Island https://www.thelongislandcollection.com/ Hoboken NJ https://www.hudsonstables.com/ Jersey Shore way https://www.autovaultnj.com/ Hamilton NJ (but Tri-State vehicle pick up and delivery service available) https://legendaryexoticsnj.com/services/storage/ Fairfield NJ https://www.thecarlofts.com/ Ramsey NJ https://www.motorcarmanor.com/ Of these, I only know Hudson Stables in Hoboken. I had a friend storing there for a while and visited. Nice facility on West Side of Hoboken under the escarpment below JC Heights. Not far from the Light Rail stop over there which connects to Hokoen PATH (runs up 6th Ave to 33rd St) and NJ Transit (runs to Penn Station). Good guys running it. Somehow the owners of the business were linked to Manhattan Car Club but I never worked out how. All good stories from those who I know have used it. I want to offer caution on how dangerous NYC is for driving a Caterham. You are below window sill and mirror height for taxis - who never look anyway. The potholes can snap a wheel or suspension, especially after winter. The frost heaves on the FDR, Lincoln Tunnel approach, and even the I78 extension leading to the Holland Tunnel used to damn near take out my sump. Now you have to worry about suicidal muppets delivering takeout on E-bikes. And never drive into Times Square during a Sunday - you will be mobbed and fined for causing a disturbance - I was. I'm no longer in Manhattan - now on the river in Jersey City. Even so, I gave away driving my Caterham in NY metro years ago as I found it was no longer fun given the transit times to get to good roads away from home. Last point to consider. A lot of classic car insurance policies used to choke on "communal storage" which this will be. Grundy and American Collectors were the worst offenders. Hagerty were a problem then eased up in NJ but I don't know about NY state? So you need to read the fine print and specifically ask if they will cover the type of storage you are considering.
  14. Its just the dirt and turf removed while they do curbs
  15. One thing that will be very different is turn 1. It is going to be a LOT faster due to it being wider track and reprofiled curve. That means you will have to be watchful for cars exiting pits plus think about a decent brake at turn 2 which really was a quick lift and turn before.
  16. Sarah and Phill are on the road. Yesterday was Oulton Park. Today was Silverstone. Tomorrow is Donington. So be patient into next week. Sarah will sort out Goldtrack with Melindi (she organizes GT) so both you and I have a reserved spot already probably with some spare places for other TFL customers. Melindi will send you a link to sign up and register. I will probably get the link email at the same time.

  18. Copied from last years org details to give you full options. Just be observant of your check in and check out times with NJMP accommodation. They are different to the usual hotel hours. The Fairfield is usually the best option from my own personal experience. The Hampton Inn is excellent but it is a few miles further drive away.
  19. Clearly built by Beachman Racing. I recognize some things of mine in the background of these photos. A few suggestions to improve your ad: - These are build photos. Photos of the completed car are really needed, preferably outside will help a prospective purchaser. - Is the car titled and registered? If so then which state (Washington?). How is it titled? 2023 Caterham or something else? - If I were you I would edit the photos to ensure they are all the right way up.
  20. I'll post a link since it was very difficult for you https://usa7s.net/ips/gallery/
