  1. Bob, actually, Suave 'still' wears diapers, especially since I started using his butt as a California Car Duster. In his defense, he doesn't wear his diapers backwards...he likes wearing them inside-out, but only after a little Shard-onnay. :jester: Suave, fixed your post. And look what I have for you, in your favorite color! :seeya:
  2. Kitcat, We'll handprint the white in the hood.
  3. Since we're talking contrast, let's through some blue in the mix. :jester:
  4. Thanks, Mike. BTW, I have CF mirrors awaiting install.what did you do to extend the mounting posts on your mirrors?
  5. Yes, that's Suave's little hiney hanging out there; his attempt at photo bombing. Either that, or he's still passed out from too much moonshine. No plans to change the louvers from black to 'alien' green. See there, Croc, Astro Bob is all in on the contrast. And I bet brother Less is of the same opinion.
  6. Yeah, I know. But that car just catches my eye; has beautiful lines.
  7. Jack, The car looks awesome! Wish I could be there for Carmel. Looking forward to getting together with you guys. If things don't change (again), I'll be arriving in Indy on the 27th. Talk to you soon.
  8. A few more bits and pieces. Fabbed panels for mounting the engine computer / electrical / etc.; steering shaft cover (cut the old one down, reused it). And the Storker now has a pair of wings.
  9. sevenup, Would like to see some more photos/specs on the car. Is it listed anywhere for sale?
  10. sevenup, What's the price for the MGB GT? Love the lines of the car.
  11. Birkin with less than 3,600 miles in need of repair. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Lotus-Super-Seven-Lotus-Seven-/202013604554?hash=item2f08f2faca:g:ORsAAOSwGrNZhSeO&vxp=mtr

    Speed Check

Gotta watch (listen) all the way to the end. :cooldude:
  13. Graham, I'll report back on the Hydramat once the car is running (not sure how soon that will be). But from my understanding, the 'mat' should pick up fuel as long as fuel is touching the mat (doesn't even have to be completely submerged in fuel to work). I think the mat, along with some sort of baffling system/foam, may be the answer a lot of us have been searching for.
  14. Yes, Putnam Park is on the radar. As for preventing a possible future suspension collapse...ah...maybe stay away from TWS. :jester:
  15. Well, after a two-year hiatus for this thread, I thought I’d bring it back to the table. With the rebuild of the Storker currently under way, it came time to address fuel. After a fair amount of research and consideration, I decided on two tank mods to hopefully ward off fuel starvation during sustained high-G cornering. The mods selected were the HolleyHydramat combined with the fuel cell baffles offered by no2foam. ‘Nuff said…I’ve loaded a few photos on my build thread for review by interested parties: http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?7852-Stalker-85-headed-back-to-Arkansas&p=104664#post104664. :troll:
  16. Fuel system and tank mods this week; Holley Hydramat, baffles and lots of Earl's line and hardware. :smash:
  17. I wonder if Klasik-69 is on to something here. What temp/s are you running when sitting still vs. moving? May be a cooling issue.
  18. Thanks, Kitcat. But I think toedrag has the record at 62K-plus views with his Storker.
  19. Houston, the Super Chicken has landed. It's now a roller.
  20. Busy the last couple of days with miscellaneous; windscreen, rear axles installed in the housing, longer wheel studs for the rear axles, rear brakes, fuel tank and a little more interior work. I was planning on sitting Super Chicken on the ground today, but Suave ending up being a bit of a problem. He disappeared about midday today and I found him later in the afternoon, drunk and passed out on top of the tool chest. It seems the stork has developed some serious chemical dependency issues since our pulling the car out of storage. I think he misses Croc. :jester:
  21. LOL!!! Love the Bug! Thanks for posting.
  22. Build, build, build . . . :smash: Kept Suave busy the past two or three days with suspension, steering, brakes and fenders, but the stork did misplace my rear axles; job security. Pretty sure he thinks he'll be out of a job once the car is on the ground. Maybe some spray paint and a little polish will jog his memory.
  23. Suave wants it for a stable mate! :ack: He says (actually, he squawks...a lot) that with the Panoz underpinnings, we could do this to it.
