  1. Happy New Year, Mike. No, not my old car. Mine had a Duratec and CF nose ands fenders. Last I heard, it belonged to Gherkin on this forum: http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?8687-Finally-on-the-road-but-never-finished
  2. . . . right there. :cooldude:
  3. Eddie (and all), I was visiting the shop of a long time car guy this morning. While I was oohing and awing at all the neat speed nostalgia around the place, he showed me a photo taken in 1958 at the Freeway drag strip in Houston. Eddie, you’re in the photo. Do you remember the moment?
  4. Brit, Looks great...but I was really partial to the 'Chalker' look for the top. :jester:
  5. Yeah...just couldn't stay away could ya? Welcome back, Bob.
  6. Nice, Tom...very nice!
  7. Tom, from one V8 7 owner to another, welcome to the forum. I'll cut to the chase; let's see some photos of the engine bay.
  8. Craig, When I shipped my bare Stalker chassis from FL to AR for the rebuild, I specifically opted for the 'crate' option...yes, a bit more expense, but keeps loose parts intact and undamaged. X
  9. If Batman were a 'tea and crumpets' chap...:jester:
  10. Dave, From one Storker (as they are affectionately known on this forum) owner to another...Welcome!
  11. Good heavens...more Storker abuse. :svengo:
  12. A couple of possibilities: a) the S/C was added later down the road, and the air inlets (Webers) were left for show and are now non-functioning units; b) the air inlets for the Webers are, and have always been, non-functioning (show only).
  13. All, I just learned of the recent passing of Keith Verges. For those that didn't know Keith, he was the owner of Apex Driving Academy which hosts track events at MSR Cresson. I have no details beyond this post. If anyone has info, please share. And let's remember his family in prayer. Shane
  14. Mine's still a trailer queen, but it's keeping good company these days.
  15. Wow, do much seed...you'll have to corner weight the car again.
  16. Another photo of the superb workmanship of Mike's car.
  17. . . . . . . :seeya:
  18. Mike, according to Suave, it's either a space saver spare or an air bag...not sure how well that would work, but...! :jester:
  19. MichaelD should have received the 'WingDing' award for nailing it 'on the numbers'. :jester: Sorry, Suave put me up to that.
  20. Stewart, Just saw the photo from your visit to the USA7s gathering at NJMP; looks like you are progressing very well! :hurray: Here are a couple of photos for continued encouragement; one from last March, following my accident (I too did my share of wheel chair time) and one from two weeks ago, taken right after I took my son and daughter flying. Hang in there, Stewart...and don't sell the 7!!!
  21. . . . . . :hurray:
  22. Dean, My sincerest condolences for your loss. Shane
  23. Who cares what they think? Besides...you're a nonconformist. :jester: I used to run with the street rod crowd. I've taken my Stalker to a few runs/cruses/shows/etc. in the past...always received good feedback.
  24. Tom, gear was down...but I don't normally land on dirt...:jester:
