2. This may have been posted here before. If so, worth a revisit. . . . . . If not, enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqO9msySmz0
3. Hey, I was there once, but then I aged and got over it. :jester: In truth, I think I'm just pissed and being passive aggressive because I can't make the event this year; sort of like when my dogs tear up stuff because they're fenced in. :cuss:
4. . . . . . . :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:
5.

 Well, so far I've pissed myself (twice), squirted hot coffee out my nose (skip;, I know how you feel :jester:), drained the savings account, made arrangements to take out a second mortgage on the house and now have the wife and kids strategically located around town at various intersections with cardboard signs in hopes that we will be able to eat tonight. :svengo:

6. . . . . . Me too. My kids and I haved had our fair share of 'endurance' air races.
7. Well, I apparently haven't completely grown up...........yet. I found this at Walmart earlier in the week and simply had to have it; a bargain at 97 cents. . . . . And it looks like Croc has a car named in his honor. :jester:
8. I'm all about the skirts on the Mk VI rear wings. Thanks for sharing.
9. I can't believe Mr. Potato Head (with pipe, of course) and the Super Ball haven't made to cut yet.
10. jevs, the car is looking great. And I must admit, you and toedrag are giving me the ‘build’ itch, but I'm diligently exercising restraint.
11. . . . . And photographers were bold. :ack:
12. Ran across a few more goodies from my generation. While the last photo isn't a toy, I had to add it and have to ask if anyone else ever made the Tupperware popsicles? . . . . . :lurk:
13. Growing up, what were some of the toys you remember . . . . . . Here's a few from my younger days.
14. Mario and I are committed to Barber for March 28, 29. There's still openings available with Rezoom if anyone else can come out.
15. Jim, glad the gearing is working out. But I have to admit, when I first saw the photos (prior to reading the post) i thought you had come up with some sort of IED and turned rouge. :jester:
16. Well, I'd already told Croc that I would more than likely not get to make the event this year. I was keeping my finger crossed, but today, the final nail was put in the coffin. Beach house rental for our 17th annual extended family vacation is during the July 4th weekend. Last year, I was (we were) able to move the beach house dates around to accommodate the USA7’s funfest, but this year was a no-go. So, since family outings to the beach trump track days, the Storker will be at home in the shop, moping about. If there are any out there who are considering making this event, let me encourage you to do so. Mike and Tom go above board to ensure all have a great time. As for me…….hopefully next year.
17. Tom, there's no room for lift in the front of old yeller.........tires take up all the room. :jester:
18. Try these guys: http://www.kineticvehicles.com/Curtis.html
19. Bob, Is the new owner a forum member?
20. I've heard of crate engines......but crate cars? I wonder if it comes with a free 12-month termite inspection? :hat:
21. I got lucky on this one. When I was in high school, I worked at a local grocery store. One day, as I was out on the lot gathering buggies, I saw parked in the lot what, at the time, was a brand new Toyota Carolla; white with some sort of sporty stripes and a tan interior. I thought it a great looking car and would be a good commute. But, as fate would have it, along came Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Coors and Pontiac to the rescue and I quickly migrated to lusting after the American iron of the time. The Idea of owning that white Carolla got pushed to the back of my mind. The memory is now old and dusty, but still there. In all fairness, if you stuck a Crossflow in front of me, I'd stand there with a deer-in-the-headlights look; sadly, I know between very little and nothing about Crossflows. But looking back, I have to wonder if half a HEMI would have been better than no HEMI at all. . . . . . . . :jester:
22. Here's a comparison: 1980-ish Carolla 1800 vs ?
23. Morn'n, Mike. I'm thinking 1800 Toyota Carolla engine for the Greenville locost.
24. You were in the 'line of fire'.
25. The Caterham driver should have tried the 'magic hand' wave.......of course, I suppose letting off the gas also helped.
