NJMP Lightning, July 5, USA7s run Group, Brunton Stalker
xcarguy replied to xcarguy's topic in Seven Videos
Mike, Redline for me is 6600 (norm for an LS6) with shifts in the 6500 range. Head/cam mods and tune were fashioned around my relatively small 1 5/8" primary headers; no room to breath after that. At 6500, and as long as the engine is gettting oil, it should live a long time . . . knock on wood. :ack: Now, if I can figure out a good, consistant line . . . . . -
I edited a few laps from my last session on Saturday and posted it in the Seven Videos section. I'm holding off on posting any other videos; don't want to take away from what Croc has planned. Here's the link, and my apoplgies for the lack of sound in the video; following the previous session, I turned off the camera mic to resolve an ignition issue and failed to turn it back on for the next session (bonehead, I know :toetap05:). The only sound is that of the Traqmate charging the Replay camera. :svengo: http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?t=9745

A few laps from the last session I ran on Saturday at NJMP with our USA7s run group; what a great time had by all! My apologies for the sound quality (or the lack there of). Following the previous session, I turned off the camera mic to resolve an ignition issue and failed to turn it back on for the next session. The only sound is that of the Traqmate charging the Replay camera. Just turn down the sound for some silent running.

Great shots, Mike! And Mario scares me a little when he starts speaking Italian; don't know if it's casual conversation or if he's planning a hit. :smilielol5:

Paul, Fantastic photos! Thanks! As for the Duratec wet sump, have you considered simply installing an Accusump system?

A few posts of random pit shots from both Friday and Saturday. It's fairly easy to tell which day was which; overcast and rainy on Friday and nary a cloud in the sky on Saturday. . . . . . :seeya:

Sorry, not going to tag anyone in these photos; still putting some names / user names together and don't want to leave anyone out or 'muck' it up with inaccuracies . . . . . . . . . :driving:

A few random shots from the Friday morning tech inspection. A handful of us decided to brave the rain and hit the track even though Hurricane Arthur was being pushed out to sea by a much welcomed (lesser of two evils) frontal system. . . . . . :auto:

Finally getting around to putting a few event photos on the thread. This was Thursday, July 3; first time at NJMP. Very impressed with the complex. . . . . :auto:

:jester: Well, after three days of steady driving, Sauvé and I arrived in Galveston to catch up with the family. Sauvé was pretty tired after having to pitch in on Storker towing duties (no free rides for diaper dude). :toetap05: Once here, I gave him a chance to rest while I unloaded the truck. Right away, he fell in love. I think it's going to be a fairly serious relationship; he brought her a gift right off the bat. And I do hope the bird is female and Sauvé’s intentions aren't dangerously misguided. :svengo:

Seb, Running Brooklands on my Storker (:jester:). If you can put a CF aero screen on that beautiful red Cat, do so. The Brooklands look great, and, are effective as stated by Kitcat. However, they are relatively heavy. The aero screen would be an easy way to shed a little weight while increasing performance.

Sure wish we could have stuck around and done some some karting with you guys. Sounds liike you had lots of fun beating up on each other. Congrats, Steve, on your win. Suave (Swa-vay) wanted everyone to know that we all made it home okay. Turns out Suave is a bit of a camera hog/photo bummer (bomber). He wanted a pose on the rear wing of the Storker and then decided to bomb the shot when I tried to get a photo of the total mileage we had gone. Steve (S1Steve), if it helps, I got home and found that I had a broken exhaust mount. Had I of known, this would have required an off-track trip to the Home Depot automotive department for a fix. . . . . . :jester:

I truly think when Mike and my dad were on track together, they gained an audience with the ‘All Mighty’ that equaled that of Moses himself; I'm talking burning-bush event here. When I came off the crest of turn one, Mike had miraculously moved the entire stretch of track between turns one and two to the right of my line some five feet. There was nothing there but dirt when I arrived, and I could have sworn I saw Mike holding up a staff as he disappeared very quickly around turn two. :smilielol5: . . . . .

Hey all, Just chiming in quickly this morning before I hit the road again. Will visit the thread in depth later tonight. Arrived in AL late last night around 10:30 pm. Will be heading on to AR in a bit. Great photos, guys! First of all, this was absolutely THE BEST track event I've ever attended. Mike (croc) and Tom (yellowss7) went above and beyond to ensure this was a five star event; hat's off to you two great guys. Run group; FANTASTIC bunch to hang with, both on and off track. If there is anyone out there that had contemplated doing a USA7s event at NJMP and hasn't, you NEED to make it happen. . . . .
