  1. I was headed back to El Dorado last week after a quick trip down to Houston. On the way back, we were presented with this cumulonimbus cloud topped by a layered lenticular formation. Thought I'd share. . . . . .
  2. . . . to a theater of operation somewhere near you . . . or in the distant northeast. On track at NJMP! 4th o' July weekend spectacular! It's . . . . . . . . :conehead:
  3. LOL! Sorry, Roman. I missed this one.
  4. I prefer 'cold'; less chance of burning yourself. Metals expand with heat; less chance of galling threads if cold. I've never installed a set of plugs (regardless of manufacturer) without first applying anti-seize; would especially recommend if installing in aluminum or aluminium :jester: heads. My two cents.
  5. Surprised it hasn't sold already at that price. Somebody will get a very nice car at a most excellent price.
  6. Onken, Great video! Ditto on capturing the drifting Porsche; very cool indeed. I just purchased my first Hans ever. I figured it was past time if I'm going to run my car on a track at the edge of my limitations. Purchased a Sport II 20 degree large which weighs a bit more than the Pro model, but less than the Sport. And it costs a little more than half the money of the Pro. When I first started shopping Hans units, I had to get past the sticker shock. I fully understand that track days in general are expensive and that we have to sometimes prioritize expenditures; at least I have to. However, you can get into a helmet/Hans combo for around a grand (Hans Sport II and G-Force helmet for example). You're driving a hi performance car in a hi performance environment. Your life is worth much more than a grand. Can you afford not to use a Hans? I consider the Hans, and arm restraints, as two of the best safety devices I've invested in. Again, great video and thanks for sharing.
  7. Mike, what happened at about 14:40 on the Anglesey video? Looks like no damage or car contact as both are gone on the next lap.
  8. Well . . . . more drool . . . there goes another laptop. :svengo: Great vids, Mike. Especially Anglesey; what an awesome track!
  9. Awesome, Paul! Simply awesome! More photos, please.
  10. The video opening references the engine having forged internals and a 10.5:1 CR. I don't know what the stock CR is for a Duratec, but it doesn't sound like it was lowered any for the SC install.

    Timely

What with Croc's recent adventure at Anglesey, the current discussion of superrcharged Sevens and Dan's awesome Westfield build, this video seems timely: . . . . .
  12. Has to be one of the best (if not the best) Seven photos I've ever seen.
  13. Well, the wife just walked in and poured water on me. Seems I had passed out from automotive awe. And now I need a new computer from all the drool seeping into the keyboard. Great shots, Mike! Thanks for sharing. . . .
  14. Mike, My trailer should be arriving next Wednesday, June 11. If this pans out (at this point, no reason it shouldn't) then I will have secure storage and can give up my spot that you have so graciously offered. I'll confirm as soon as it arrives. . . . .
  15. Jeff, A few months ago, I was searching through Cresson vids and ran across this. I think it is your car on track back when John (original owner) had the car. . . . .
  16. Jeff, Sorry to hear about your misfortune at Cresson. Glad you're getting the car back on the road . . . better, stronger. Once up and running, when will you be back at Cresson? We should try and do a track day together if possible. Shane
  17. Wow, on the alternator!
  18. johnh, Ditto on the 3M. Great stuff. I too have used it over the years with excellent 'long-term' results. And for best results, apply the adhesive to both surface areas (tunnel and carpet), allow the adhesive to become tacky and then stick the carpet to the tunnel. That should do it.
  19. Awesome, Skip! Love it!
  20. Klasik-69, Thanks for the thoughts about my daughter. As for now, we are still sitting on GO for NJMP. I spoke with Mike earlier today and brought him up to speed on our situation and the possibile scenarios we are facing at this time. We are still hoping for picc line removal in mid-to-late June and no returning complications after coming off of the antibiotics. Hopefully, we should know something definite in a couple of weeks regarding our 'for sure' being able to make the trip. Again, all is looking good so far.
  21. Mike and Tom, Thanks for the persistence in getting this lined out and working properly! Will look over all and get'r done today. Here's to July.
  22. Welcome aboard, JKerrigan . . . and good luck with the registration.
  23. This may not be of ANY help (comparing apples to oranges) . . . but . . . FWIW, I run a cheap paper filter from O'Reilly's on the vent valve of my fuel tank. I also run a the same filter on my PCV system (see photos below) and my differential breather. No fuel/oil smells emanating from the car. Again, just throwing this on the table for consideration. . . . . .
  24. Jackal, Good to see you back and pressing on.
  25. Any word on registration?
