  1. I believe you are refering to S.W.M.B.O (she who must be obeyed). I have the same kind of "social director". We are visiting Linda's family on the Island, at least I get to take the 7...:driving::driving:
  2. Heading to the Coast the weekend August 14,15th, Ron in Vancouver is holding a meet on the 14th we are going to try and be there for that one, combine it with a trip to the Island.
  3. Just checked our book and we are planning a trip to the Island the week of the 16th, figure we can take an extra couple of days and leave the Friday and meet with you guys on the Saturday. What time and where? How many so far? This would be our first really long drive in "Her Madge", fingers crossed. Any suggestions from you hardened travellers out there would be appreciated. Been looking for suitable Bags to strap to the back of the car, there are some custom ones made in the UK, wonder if there are any being made in the U.S or here in Canada. Cheers Ron. Steve
  4. Will check our schedule for August, see if we can swing a trip to Vancouver in.
  5. Whats the news Oyagi, is she on the road....
  6. Welcome Ron, you are in the right part of the Country for some Twisty bits to hurl your creation around. Know what you mean about people waving and smiling, its just what this car does to people. The moment my rear end hit the driving seat I started smiling and havn't stopped since..:hurray: Had my new soft top fitted today and had to drive back thru Calgary, lots of smiles and waves, lots of vehicles slowing down to have a good look. They are feel good cars aren't they..
  7. Great to hear that you are on the road. Be nice to those speed cops...Looking foward to some more pics.:hurray:
  8. Welcome Darren, good looking ride. Hi Stew, cant make it for the July 31st blat, forgot that Lindas daughter is getting Married that day. Ooops. might be able to make it to the Slalom on Sunday, we are shooting a Wedding the day before. Will see what time we get it all over and done with. Need my beauty sleep you know. Steve
  9. That is one nice looking ride, good luck with the insurance company, I will keep everything crossed that all goes well for you. Hopefully your next post will say that you have been for your first blat..:cooldude: Oh yeh, that thing with the kids and neighbors, it happens a lot...
  10. Heal quickly my friend. God bless.
  11. Looking good. Love the clamshells.
  12. Really is a Classic, I just love the clams and chrome...
  13. Nice interior Brunny, is it custom or do the S1 people supply it. Cool looking boot lid.
  14. I've found the response from our local R.C.M.P and town police to be really favorable, they seem to view the car as more of a classic British sports car, on the same lines as ( dare I say it) an MG or Morgan. So they dont view it in the same way as they may see that fearsome looking machine of yours. My local good guy actually asked what kind of speed I was pulling on my last little exploit up one of our quiet backroads..he just smiled aand told me to have fun..:hurray::cooldude:
  15. No need to Brag.............
  16. That sucks, I have mine thru the same people, they made it real easy for me. Worst thing comes to the worst, it gives you time to concentrate on UPGRADES.......I know that doesn't help.. Dont lose heart the time will pass quicker if you are getting her in top shape and ready for the fall.
  17. Hi Jason, how about some pics.. Welcome to the Canuk Crew..:cooldude:
  18. The waiting is a bummer, but the joy upon getting your new girl is awesome..:party:The first time your rear end slides into the cockpit and you grip that wheel, you know you made the right choice. The view down the bonnet (hood) with those two huge headlamps showing you the way down the open road is an adrenallin boost. Enjoy Oyagi...just Enjoy. Steve:driving:
  19. Thanks for the pics of the Sub Scannon, couldn't see myself doing that. Seeing those pics was a real eye opener. Appreciate those guys even more now..
  20. The Wifes Dad had the gut wrenching experience of having to leave the rear gunner behind when he baled out. The poor guy was trapped, turret wouldn't move, apparently he was just a real young guy. had an impact on her dad for the rest of his life. My hat is off to them all. We owe them so much..
  21. Hey Stew, where did you get the strip light on the roll bar from?
  22. sweet looking ride Stew. Looking foward to going to play in August.:cooldude::driving:
  23. Cheers John, good article. My Wifes Dad was a Navigator on the Lanc's, got shot down was captured. P.O.W He escaped and travel by night to freedom. Having a Lanc right here in nanton is a real thrill, I can walk to the museum any day and actually go aboard her. Havn't sat in the cockpit yet, I am working on that one..when they fire those engines up its a real gut wrencher. Bless them all..
  24. There are a few more out there Oyagi, a couple of Stalkers in Alberta and one more Westfield that I know of..you know who you are guys....should also be a Caterham in Canmore by now..party time guys:cheers:
  25. She doesn't fly but they have two of her engines fully operational and a third well on its way. The engines cost 50,000 each and then they have to start modding them.. Gets your blood pumping when they fire the two up..
