    Cop Prank

    >>The Kane County, Illinois, Sheriff's Department orders plain white patrol units and has the graphics applied locally. In this case, what they ordered was not quite what they got. This car was driven for 1 week before an officer noticed what the graphics company employee did on the passenger side of the car. The employee did this on his last day working for the graphics company before he retired. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/687321502_sheriff.bmp

  17. Well that being the case .. then the Supra rear solid axle on the '79-'81 Supra's will be a choice also. 4x114.3mm The '80 and '81 cars had LSD as an option. Supra '82 is the year that it began as IRS. These early Supras use shims to hold the disc calipers in place .. whereas the later AE86 must use the improved "pin sliders." Rob
  18. What is the bolt pattern of the 85 AE86 GTS rear? Is it 4x100 or 4x114.3? Rob

This is a lotus 7 type vehicle which is number 21 of about 60 that were built. I purchased the car about a year and a half ago and have done some work to it and have enjoyed it. The car is slightly larger than a lotus 7 or caterham and can fit a v8 motor. It currently has a Toyota 3tc motor that was built at the same time as the car. For more information regarding rotus please check out usa7s.com or search for the rotus forum on the internet. the good: car runs and drives great. I drive it around the neighborhood every day. I rebuilt the front suspension and put on spax coilovers. I have two sets of springs with different ratings. Has newish caterham seats and caterham floor mats. has 15" BBS wheels with Toyo RA1 Tires. second set of wheels are 14". Bad: Needs electrical rewire. ( The kit comes with the car) Needs soft brake lines replaced and master cylinders rebuilt. ( Not leaking but it should be done). Top and tonneau need to be remade. ( origionals included for someone to use as a pattern) Rear suspension needs rebuild. ( Spax coilovers and two sets of springs included). Rear fenders need replacing. ( Coveland rear fenders and Caterham Taillights included). there are a few other odds and ends that could be done to improve the car. such as new gauges and cleaning of this and that. Other things: you will also recieve the origional clamshell fenders, a new waterpump, a new tube header, and a box of misc parts with the car. The fuel tank is 5.6 gallons. on the whole the car is great, runs and drives fine and is one of the most fun cars I have ever owned. I am selling it because I have enjoyed it and done some work to it and now I have a baby and have no time to work on it. I am trying to be as open as I can about the car. It is in need of some work but it does run and drive and would be a fantastic autocross car as is."
  25. I have the same problem with my generic rear fenders. We are talking about doing some splitting of the lip from the fender at the rear curve and adding some more fiberglass to fill the gap. This is in addition to new welting. We are also going to refiberglass the old fenders to have them as a spare set. Rob
