  1. Hey Robb. Are you going to Culver Motor Clinic? If so, that was my car they did. They asked about disc thickness, the fronts were stamped, I did an internet search and printed out some info re: the rears. They seem like a decent bunch, the guy who actually did the inspection was very careful with my car. I spoke to Jeff. I had Pierce College do the smog, the guy there was cool too. Good luck.
  2. BMW's have had synchro reverse since 1984.......... Love it!!
  3. That's great! Don't worry about the fuel milage, enjoy the car. It looks great, it's a Super 7 with pipes on BOTH sides
  4. SPITFIRE GRILL Santa Monica airport. http://www.spitfiregrill.net/About.html You'll find me there just about every Friday having lunch with friends.
  5. Those Vintage 31 seats look interesting. Does anyone have any experience with them?
  6. O.K. Light and brake done. Culver Motor Clinic Culver City, Calif. No problem other than giving them the specs for the brake discs. Next step is referee station for smog. Any thoughts to share on getting through that? I'm trying to avoid anymore surprises. I've got the 1700 c/f with webers. Do I need a PCV valve and a hose connected to the air cleaners? Right now the crankcase vents through a hose to the atmosphere.
  7. At the leist point it down.
  8. 109 Is very loud! The SCCA limit for racecars is 103. At Laguna the sound station used to be on drivers right coming out of turn 5. So, you might try running the exhaust under the back axle and then putting a 90 degree bend that points it out to the left. Good luck with this, Laguna is tough on sound. All the richy riches that moved next to the racetrack don't want you disturbing their wine (whine?) and cheese parties
  9. Jim. You say the light and brake is the last bump in the road. Have you done the referee station for your smog? When I tried to get a referee station appointment they said I had to do the light and brake dance first.
  10. I'm getting my brake and light certificate. They can't sign me off because: 1/ My lights (except head lights) don't say DOT or SAE. 2/ My light switches need labels. 3/ My parking brake needs to have a warning light so that I know it's on. Is this normal? Are SAE lenses available for Caterhams?
  11. That's odd! I prefer this: http://www.zimbio.com/Porsche+Turbo/articles/3/VW+Bus+Porsche+Turbo+Engine
  12. Bruce. Congratulations on third place at Thunderhill. I've run that event four times and it's a tough one for car, driver and especially crew!! You guys have mastered the secret of long races STAY OUT OF THE PITS!! Do you have any photo's of the car after 25 hours?
