  1. As David Hobbs says "HUGE ATTACHMENTS" Let's see Ken Block top that!! I especially like from the 4:00 mark where they show the major tank slapper. Looked like he was putting out a fire with one hand and fighting off a bear with the other. I'm amazed he saved that. Usually when you start having to take your hands off the wheel that's a recipe for disaster!
  2. I'm no expert on California registration. But I did register my Caterham under SB100 last year. I doubt you'd have a problem with this car either.
  3. The Toyo RA1 is hard to beat when it comes to performance and driveability. They last a long time and are very predictable.
  4. I was back there last year. My wife's family lives in Caterham (how lucky am I?) I stopped by Redline and bought some seat belts that CC didn't have. Good guy. Definately has an old school feel to it.
  5. I'm such a wuss I didn't even look at them!!
  6. I agree with Speedwagon. I've been road racing since 1980. I've driven just about every track in America. I've raced Pikes Peak four times. It's without a doubt the most fun I've ever had. It looks odd to see it paved. But, I prefer the pavement over the Pennsapress stuff they had in the 90's That was like driving on rough asphalt with a thin layer of gravel spread on top!! But my favorite is the old full, loose dirt. I'd like to go back and drive the paved hill. Much faster but I think more constant as far as grip is concerned. I think with the advent of full pavement Lovell's off road racer is not safe any more. Great place for a turbocharged 7 though!!
  7. How about Tillets?
  8. Imagine what was going through the minds of those who were inside the car. You're pulling out into a public road in Ireland with the president of the United States when you hear this loud rumble from the bottom of the car!! I'll bet adrenalin was flowing. You notice how the police outside the car stepped away.
  9. talent doesn't come with the car!!
  10. Probably not much in the way of seat belts either!! Better to be thrown clear of the wreck!!
  11. BMW RACER

    model hobby

I went there when I was a kid. But I don't remember where it is either!! I know........ I'm useless
  12. That doesn't sound too bad to me! Provided all the money goes to transport issues. The roads won't fix themselves (They certainly aren't in California) The more you drive, the more you pay. Of course I have now idea how much money will get wasted implimenting and collecting said funds.
  13. Car sounds great! Looks like a fun track. What kind of camera are you using?
  14. Scott. The interior looks great! How about more photo's of the rest of your car?
  15. I'm thinking that's an Oldsmobile Toronado. One of the worlds biggest front wheel drive cars!
  16. Slow reactions too!!
  17. Sounds like a Gordon Ramsey show
  18. Your'e probably in the middle of lunch right now. Dave is a great guy. I raced many different Mitsubishis for him from 1986 until 1994. I got the opportunity to race some great cars at some great tracks thanks to Dave. He's also seen my Caterham Super 7. See how I slipped that in, that way we're not OT for chatting about non Super 7 stuff. Best wishes
  19. Hey John. Do you know Dave Wolin?
  20. I remember reading at one rally I think it was Portugal a Toyota mechanic found a finger stuck in the gas flap!!
  21. YouTube - Ford Sierra RS Cosworth - with pure engine sounds
  22. Yikes!! Amazed how many guys jumped back up! What get's me is some of the current day vintage racers race with period safety equipment. Back then they didn't know any better. No excuse today. BTW Great music, just downloaded it for 79c on iTunes
  23. Is this it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lotus-Super-7-Super-7-Caterham-Cosworth-290-hp-Race-Road-1150lb-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem230ebc03cfQQitemZ150571058127QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks#ht_1055wt_1167
  24. I've seen this thing around West LA. One small block is good, two must be better!! Gotta figure out how to install another Crossflow in my car.
  25. I use the basic foam ear plugs, but just in my left ear. That seems to be where most of the buffeting comes from. Unless your car is RHD
