I agree with Speedwagon. I've been road racing since 1980. I've driven just about every track in America. I've raced Pikes Peak four times. It's without a doubt the most fun I've ever had.
It looks odd to see it paved. But, I prefer the pavement over the Pennsapress stuff they had in the 90's That was like driving on rough asphalt with a thin layer of gravel spread on top!!
But my favorite is the old full, loose dirt.
I'd like to go back and drive the paved hill. Much faster but I think more constant as far as grip is concerned.
I think with the advent of full pavement Lovell's off road racer is not safe any more.
Great place for a turbocharged 7 though!!
