  1. Like a Rotus project with almost any engine you want, or a used Birkin, or Westfield, or a super high end Locost?
  2. I have a colleague in Washington, DC who is an excellent career coach. PM me for more information. Because people are living longer many are changing careers at all stages of life. My sister-in-law finished her residency in radiology at age 52. My brother in law almost dropped out of high school and now supervises 300 people at a solid state rocketry installation as an engineer. My wife got two degrees in her forties. I have a post-retirement career also in a related field. There are very few specialists who are really trained appropriately to do career guidance. I actually had a .5 year internship in that field in addition to clinical psychology training for the doctorate. Good systematic help is out there.
  3. Great marketing potential for private detectives and defense procurement people seeking a robotic sniper.

  11. SOLD.. Now on eBay if anyone is interested. From an autocross-only car with Mazda racing engine. Complete with K&N filter, new gaskets, and multiple jet parts. Great for racing a 7 variant with rotary engine. Also great for dune buggies!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320584864816
  12. No personal connection. Interesting rebuild. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lotus-Seven-1962-Lotus-Seven-7-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3a5e238e60QQitemZ250687491680QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
  13. Are you running 15 inch tires?
  14. I've had 3 Mini Cooper S's and one was a John Cooper Works, but I would never go back to one after owning a 7. They are a bit more practical though as a daily driver. The turbo one has a lot of torque steer in the front wheels, which is really scary in a lot of rain or ice. The supercharged version had less torque steer. Overall, they are marvelous cars and also come with Permagrin that, by definition, cannot be removed.
  15. If you end up having an extra pair of Cat or CAT type seats to sell in brown, beige, yellow, red or black I would be interested. I might trade my brown leather bench seats, but they are a little worn. The bottoms are about 17 inches at the widest point.
  16. Martin cut one from my drawing of the grill on the Old Yellow Rotus. Will send pics when the car's done. Looks nice.
  17. Not my car, but thought folks would be interested. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/1914673868.html

  23. from Dan Akroyd KILLERB IT ALREADY HAS A LICENSE PLATE, SO IT NEEDN'T BE 7 LETTERS. THE LICENSE PLATE IS ROTUS 7, WHICH IS PRETTY COOL SINCE IT IS A MARYLAND PLATE AND THE CAR WAS DESIGNED AND BUILT IN MARYLAND. THE ORIGINAL MARYLAND PLATE WITH ROTUS 7 BELONGED TO SOLDER_GUY. CAN YOU BEAT "KILLERB" OR "KILLERBEE"? MAYBE WITH SLEEPINBEE OR SLEEPERBEE. CAR DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A SLEEPER THOUGH, DOES IT? I APOLOGIZE FOR THE CAPS BUT I AM SO EXCITED AND AM NOT GOING TO RETYPE EVERYTHING.
