  1. Some guys will say just about anything to get their friends to come out to the track. How do I get there?
  2. See you in the spring. Happy sails.
  3. Kevin, How are things in Cabin John? Want to get together for a ride after dinner before the snow comes?
  4. http://www.nasasevens.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=207&g2_serialNumber=5 These cross bars in the Hamlin cage add significant ridgity to the seven frame. 5. Tom, Sounds like a good time. I am at Summit all weekend before but will try to fit it in if possible.
  6. I just knew it wasn't Al Gore.
  7. I just ordered Hush Power part #HP-2 12018400 It is a 18" case with 2" in and out. Price $93.00 from Amazon. I am having a removable roll cage is built by Piper Motor Sports in Sterling, Va. Once the cage is on, they will install the new muffler to fit. I will let you know how it looks and sounds when I get the car back. Probably towards the end of January.
  8. John, What size HushPower do you use? George Hillard has one on his Birkin and seems to like it as well.
  9. These are from either Burns or Coast fabrication. Coast makes the Burns units. According to Vince at Burns we need at lease a 4.5 dia and should keel with the same length as supplied by Caterham or it will be way to loud.
  10. Jack, The group buy was suggested by pi7ot. I am only interested in a 4.5 x 24 x 2.0 in and 2.0 out. This will replace the Caterham muffler that I have now and be about 10 lbs lighter. I don't know how loud it will be and have a way to test it prior to build. I am also not interested in leading the group buy. Those that are interested in a group buy should call Vince at Burns. Maybe he doesn't care if everyone has different specs. Let him handle it.
  11. I just spoke with Vince at Burns regarding a group buy. He would be interested in working with a group of 10 or more. I also suggested that he sign up with USA7s.com to stay in touch with the group. Here is his contact info: Vincent Roman Burns Stainless LLC http://www.burnsstainless.com 1013 West 18th Street Costa Mesa, CA 92627 (615) 750-2024 Office, (949) 631-5120 Shop, (615) 250-6717 FAX
  12. 6"OD is bigger than I want. I am looking at 4.5 OD 2.5 in and out with a 10 " 45 degree tail pipe. Contact Vince at Burns and ask. His direct number is 615-750-2024. I just left him a mesage.
  13. Vince ar Burnssaid this: As you probably are aware, those engines are LOUD. I would not go smaller than 4-1/2” OD, as long as you can and a 2-stage. Better yet, the 6-1/4” can, Please let me know how I can be of further assistance. 14. Thank you both for your reply. I would imagine that all mufflers will get a little louder with age. I had seen the Burns test. However, their website does not offer a 22 inch muffler. I am looking at their 17 x 2" in and out. I am also looking at the HushPower 18" x 2" in and out. The Burns is about twice as much as the HushPower. But, the Burns is repackable. I am leaning twoards the Burns at this point.
  15. I am replacing my Old, Stock Caterham muffler. My motor is a 220 hp Zetec. Up for consideration are Burns and Hush Power. Links below: http://www.buainless.com/sm-200-350-17.aspx http://www.hushpower.com/product/29/HP-2+Series+Mufflers.html Does anyone have experience with either of these?
  16. Have you tried searchin in the UK?
  17. You can see the length of the input shaft in the fourth photo.
  18. Brian, I don't have any reason to think it is anything other than a stock T-9.
  19. Clean, T-9 for sale. Came out of a Birkin. Never driven in Birkin. $1,200 OBO. I have had this as a back-up but do not need it any longer.

  21. Here are the photos of my front "SnowPlow" areo device. While it is not fancy and does not look very aerodynamic, it certainly does the job and counters the lift caused bu my clam shells. My front end is now quite stable at any speed and dives into turns. I would like to add more downforce at the rear. I think a wing and the Fluke diffuser could add a more grip on exit and a few more mph at the top end at VIR.
  22. Michael M. For the last year I have run with a 5.5" windscreen that is interchangable with a stock windsceen. Since my car has clamshells I added a front splitter attached to 5" wide cannards. This resulted in a new top end od 145-150 mph. I am considering the addition of a full closed engine bay and a diffuser. The one from Fluke seems to look like it will work with a wing. However, it is expensive and I do not know of anyone that hase possibly nd . However
  23. Has anyone added an aero device or devices to their car? If so what were the positive and negative effects? What prands or homemade specs? Thanks for sharing.
  24. Chip, Do you still have a set of front wings?
