  1. you do if you don't have a standard windscreen. I use modified bicycle mirrors on my half screen as seen in my Avitar.
  2. Ditto that. Lost about 15 rivits. All on the drivers side??? I guess 20,000 miles I will do it again.
  3. I simply use the Spa side mirrrs mounted to the middle screw in the windscreen mount. My center rearview is from http://www.holden.co.uk/ a great resource for all classic & vintage british car parts.
  4. Geran, I am available most evenings an occasional weekends. email me directly.
  5. All post '98 Caterhams have a framed in tunnel. They and do not require another hoop to meet SCCA D Mod regs.
  6. Reason, I am in Bethesda. Michael D.
  7. Geran, I have a 2000 Caterham DeDion with a 200 hp Zetec. The car is in Bethesda and is a daily driver/track car. Let me know if your would like a ride. Michael D,
  8. Are these the wheels that came with the car?
  9. FWIW, Caterhams come with boxed in tunnels. That is one of the items that lead to a higher cost. Folis Jones did a really nice job boxing in the tunnel on his Birkin after seeing how well my Caterham is finished off. I would suggest you contact Folis n57fj@earthlink.net I am sure he can provide photos and is usually very willing to share information with another Sevener. I agree with DeanG as to how clean your car seems to be. It must have been cared for.
  10. The stock tank can be removed and replaced with the 2 gal tank mounted in the right rear. You may also consider moving the battery down and forward on the right frame. GT40s had fuel tank on the right and left side. Has anyone ever moved the fuel cell to the passanger side? What extra safety precautions would have to be made?
  11. Great photos. Thanks for sharing. The orange is starting to come through.
  12. Mike, Nice job. I think sump guards are a must with the Zetec/Raceline combo if you are driving on the street, Hwy or unplanned off track excursions. The guard I have been using http://www.midatlanticcaterham.com/images/Caterham%20skid.jpg has saved me untold times. To a point that the trailing edge is worn down to a knife edge. May be time for a new one. I would say yours looks to be a bit easier to put on and seems to be easier to place the jack so it will not slip when raised. I also like your rear pan. Are you selling that as well?
  13. What is a T-9 worth today? Michael D. "It's smiles per mile that count"
  14. Which of these does not apply? "I was here first." "You can be dead right." "Discretion is the better part of valor." "I have never done that before."
  15. Mazda, I take it you were alone in your car and it wasn't your Rotus ;-) Michael D
  16. I still use my 7 as my daily driver as well as Autocross, Track days and Time Trials. The half doors are for whenever I do not have a full windshield in place. That is when I have a 6" windscreen in place.
  17. Steve, I only bought the doors. Tom bought the other stuff. Michael D.
  18. I know. I just got off the phone with Craig. I bought the extra doors to turn into half doors. I also suggested that he bubble wrap the clams and ship them in a box from a hot water heater. Glad all is well maybe you will join us at Summit point or give me advance notice as to when you will be at the NJ track. I would love to try that track someday. Michael D. Snow covered in Bethesda
  19. Tom, Did you get the clams or are they still available? I will take them if they are. Michael D. Tom, Why are you in Beirut?
  20. Craig, Tom beat me to it but if it doesn't work out I will take the clam shells, the Tonneau and the doors. Michael D.
  21. MegaSquirt should have the bugs worked out of theirs. Folis has been their tester for a fer years now.
