  1. Have you tried some G-Meters applications on your iPhone ?
  2. Message to Scannon: For sure you will have strange handling at 130mhp if you keep those tires running in the wrong direction lolll Look at the tire threads
  3. Hey Fred! La prochaine fois que vous allez courser à St-Eustache ou a Icar tenez-moi au courant! Je restes a 10 minutes des 2 tracks!
  4. Car's stored for the winter season... At least I have many projects to keep me busy over the winter season.
  5. I have some sort of Piezo buzzer on my Birkin and I think I might get rid of it... It's probably more annoying to hear the buzzer than to ride with your flasher on. hehe
  6. Just found a little web flash game featuring sevenesque style racing cars! http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/coaster_racer Warning: Your real driving skills are useless I have no affiliation this this site at all.
  7. Just had a wonderful 18C here today in Quebec. Could not resist to go for "one more" last drive of the season
  8. Possible causes: -Loose wire connection or bad contact. -Loose belt -Bad voltage regulator in your alternator (bad diode). Don't forget to unplug your battery before putting your hands there.
  9. I had trouble with one of my carb when I bought my car. Found out it was a sticky needle valve! But your problem might be completly different..
  10. This is not a modified picture! I saw this Birkin last month at the British invasion in Stowe, Vermont.
  11. I had problem with my brake light switch when I bought my Birkin. My brake lights were not turning on unless I use extreme pressure on the brake pedal. I solved the problem: I unplugged it and I plugged an electrical switch directly on the pedal. Now my brake lights turn on as son as I touch the pedal and I'm not affraid that someone will smash the rear of my car. Cheers,
  12. I really like this picture of my car It might not seems like it but I'm sitting inside the car and the engine is running. A friend of mine took this picture in like one minute. It came out pretty nice.
  13. Old rock, hard rock, metal, punk, retro... Depends how I feel, where I'm driving, and who I'm driving with. I won't listen to heavy metal in my car if a take my mother for a drive.. lol I made some nice playlist on my Ipod with different kind of music so I use to just ask my passenger what they like.
  14. Here's the link for the Totebox: http://www.uniquetruckaccessories.com/toolboxes.html#tote
  15. I did try a wind blocker inside the rollbar of my Birkin... and the wind was WORST than ever. I think most of the wind comes from air hitting the rear fender and coming right at my face (upwards).
  16. We should specify where we live. I you live in Florida you'll get higher mileages.. I live in Quebec and I can only take my Birkin 8 months/year. "Every winter always seems to last forever when you're waiting after the sun to melt that ice and snow.."
  17. About the cargo box: I forgot to mention: There is a piece of 1 X 1 tubing permenantly bolted under the floor (thru the frame). The 1 X 1 tubing that support the boxes are bolted on the side of the permanent tubing. It is easier to unbolt the supports from under the car rather than inside the passenger footwell.
  18. My amplifier is wired directly on the battery (with a fuse close to the battery). I wanted to be able to turn the music on without having to put the car key in. It doesnt draw a lot of current. The wires came with the amplifier I bought. Couldnt be more simple Nick
  19. Oh I almost forgot. The cargo box are removable (4 bolts, 5 minutes) I only use them when I go out for weekends And I'm planning to go on a huge road trip next summer
  20. Supersport SP: I did not tried my car on a Dyno. And I saw that I've wrote 185 HP. It is more like 165-170 HP in reality. I just copy/paste an old list I had on my computer and it was not up to date!

  23. About the cargo box: I bought two aluminium tool box from a company called Unique Truck Accesories. The cargo part number is : TOTE-24. They are water tight and they can be lock to keep your stuff safe. I found them really practical and they don't affect the driving of my car at all. Of course this setup will only work with cycle wings, not with clamshell fenders. I bolted both boxes together with 1/2 inch spacers so the covers don't rub on each other. Then I added a piece of 1/2 X 1-1/2 tube on the rear of the boxes the add more strenght. The box are held in place with 2 pieces of 1 X 1 square tube that I bolted thru the frame. Is it really simple and the whole setup only weight about 20 pounds. I'll try to post more pictures anytime soon. About my stereo system: I made myself a little MDF box between both seats. The Birkin is pretty narrow so I was only able to put two Polk Audio 4-1/2" speakers between the seats. The Ipod is held is place with velcro on the dashboard so it is easy to remove it and take it with me when I park the car somewhere. The head unit is mounted under the dash with a large single tie-wrap. It is a mini amplifier that you can find on Ebay for around 40$ making a search on "Motorcycle Amplifiers". It is not a high quality amplifier but it is good enough to hear it at speeds lower thatn 60 mph. With the side curtains on there's no problem at all at any speed. I have a video on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/nleroux#p/u/19/__K_BwzGiok Cheers, Nick
  24. I do around 4000 miles every summer with my Birkin S3. It's just too fun to drive! I have a 2.0L Zetec with dual 45 DCOE Weber carbs. I do avoid traffic as much as possible since the car is getting VERY hot. But I'm not affraid to take my car for a 8 hours drive. The car is really reliable. I also tuned my suspension for touring.. I do not race my car. It helps a lot over long road trips. And if you're driving a lot on the highway: side curtains are a must.
  25. I was there last year with my 2002 Birkin S3 and I was given the second place. There was about 15 Lotus 7 on the field. I've posted many pictures on my British Car Club Website. Here's the link: http://picasaweb.google.com/infocarvaq/BritishCarShowDeOakvilleDansLeBronteCreekPark# Cheers, Nick
