  1. is that the case? I haven't been on BlatChat in a couple of years.
  2. there's always Ammo. http://www.raceline.co.uk/
  3. google maps' info makes me beleive it is Honda North America's proving grounds. I like the big track. Even the little guys look fun.
  4. Your location would help. Find all the local se7en owners and see the cars up close. Knowing the fit of you and the car is critical. How much convertible driving have u done, because driving a se7en is way beyond my Miata. Once car is a joy for a half hour at a time, the other can go across the country in 3 days. No, I don't know which is which:banghead:
  5. ScottL, iirc. Otherwise MichaelD should have his contact info.
  6. Redgoose stopped by yesterday and said hello. Finally got to see his schweet r500!
  7. Running 1st heat both days. 3 se7ens in total. Come on down and say hello!
  8. D Modified. Welcome to SCCA All Lotus 7 clones go straight to Modified. D for 2000cc and under, E for larger. There are autoXs at the Meadowlands Saturday (NNJR SCCA) and Sunday (NNJR PCA). Warren will be out one of these days. More info the NY Metro area is usually at http://www.autox4u.com. If you have any questions, it may be faster just to ask me.
  9. We have planned Se7en drive in early June. Please check the NE subforum.
  10. Warren emailed me that Chris Bernard will come out and play. Waiting to hear back from Norm. I will probably pick up a co-driver. Anyone else want 2+ or cars, competition, and possibly red solo cup beverages after hours.
  11. Tough to hear about, worse to see, and horrible to be in. Glad you made it out OK and had the HnR on. and uhhhh, could I borrow the wheels/tyres and aeroscreen?
  12. registration: http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.advert/uidEvent/CA872B1B-A5F1-F337-DCF79006EC799E2F Warran is in already. If I can ever get around to getting Snake Bit out and giving it a shake down I'll be in. Supposedly Chris Bernard will be in attendance. Not sure if NormB will come up yet. This is the best surface in the northeast. Possibly the best non concrete site in the nation.
  13. The SCCA Time Trials fall under the Solo classes which would have you in D or E Mod. And I'm not sure which region in NeDiv are running that program yet. Maybe WDCR? NASA's local club, MotorsportsNE has a very active TT program. Talk to Jake Namer who is that programs chairman.
  14. damn dbl post.
  15. But Karl, no Caterham, or even Lotus 7 is allowed in any of the Super Touring classes. Caterham is only in E Production, and under specific allowances.
  16. NormB has the cut outs on his clamshells as well.

    I'm a Granddad

    congrats
  18. There is the FIA bar w/ petty strut. There are also intrustion bars made for Caterham. One protects from an axle breaking and swinging wildly and the other is a side door bar. The cage does not bolt to the roll bar. Above this level a full cage needs to be installed instead of the rollbar. I would actually go to the cage if you find the FIA bar inadequate and have the other bars built into the cage. Do you plan to do Time Trials? The engine spec for caterhams in Production classes is ar below the R300 level.
  19. D & E Mod running now. announcing: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sccasolo live timing: http://sololive.scca.com/
  20. Definitely can not make the 16th.
  21. Won't be making the trip, and I'll miss the New England NT with a local event conflict. NEDiv @ the Meadowlands will be the only "travel" this year. Perhaps the Evo ShootOut @ Dover.
  22. MidAtlantic Caterham had something similar. give them a ring if haven't.
  23. Karl, your bar is one of the few that will pass w/o any problems
  24. I'm pretty sure this is for the club racing licenses. W/ SCCA, rollbar and head placement are big deals. Please get in touch with whoever in charge of tech or scrutineering for this event to make sure you would actually have seat time in a 7.
