    if u have a good autoparts store, the ones w/ teh back storeroom that bigger than the rest of teh store, u can usually find something of the shape u need to be cut down to the length u need.

    its not hard to get 300ft-lbs of torque from a 1.8 diesel, so i don't think the motors would be a slouch in any regard.

    but i actually would like to see that BMW motor in a se7en... If not for the added length, everyone would have been hooked on this release until the joke was unveiled in June. and teh slush box, etc.

    Hydra Nemesis is teh current top of teh line and AEM just released a new version. It really come down to who your tuner is or if u are doing it yourself. LINK, Megasquirt, Electromotive's TEC are all other sysytems. Hell, even an open source software may be enough for ur needs.

    OK, i get it now. I wasn't clear in the original post. I'm compiling the NE Events for teh sticky on top of this forum. Thanks for bringing up the national events, hopefully some people will make the trip. I will be at Pole Position in Jersey City Monday night for a couple hours of karting.

    Alright, I've been slacking w/ not paying attention to upcoming events. What's happening this year besides Tom's 2 day track day gathering in June? Atwell? BruceB? I'll update the sticky thread this week.

    well that car goes to 11. well, the gt2 RS goes to 11. ours goes only go to 2 or 3 if we put it on a scale. while high $ priced, i suspect that this will soon be cost effective for weight reduction. how much is a CF driveshaft and how lighter is it? same w/ seats?

    look up the U Maryland FSAE team. Ibeleive a few of them are still in school because last Memorial Day they were telling me that bthis year they were going to play w/ active aero. a Formula car would keep u off teh streets unlike Franken7, but if u were planning to go autoXing more often, FSAE as a class is open to non-students, etc.
