  1. Hi Steve,

I made the plunge into the Se7en world without ever driving one. To date I have still not driven a Se7en. Zach offered on the blat, but I didn't feel comfortable with the first Se7en drive, in my first right hand drive, with someone I had only known for a couple hours. Silly I know, but it felt right to politely decline.

  2. Well it has been a couple months since any updates. Not a whole heck of a lot has gone on with it that's for sure. I am glad to say that it started for me on Friday with one twist of the wrist. It sounds great too, not too loud considering it is essentially a straight pipe. There is a bit of a challenge with the collector though, as there seems to be a pretty significant leak pushing exhaust out the front of the collector. I don't see how that can be as the fit for the headers is pretty tight in the collector. Since it's all wrapped, its difficult to see where the leak is coming from other than from the spaces in between the pipes. Worst case, there could be a crack in the collector, where the four tubes meet. This will have to be sorted out as the O2 sensor really needs a good solid flow past it for the tune. The next big thing to sort is the Alternator. Apparently the alternator is not charging the system, so I'll have to dig in an sort that out too. It may be connected to one or two other little challenges I have going on with the electrical right now. I'll be digging into that this week, as the shop has allowed me to come work there. All that's left after that is to fill the brakes and clutch lines and tune the beast. I was really hoping to be street legal by now, but deal with what I have and move forward. If I spent too much time looking in the rearview mirror, I'll end up hitting a wall.
  3. I would also like one please.
  4. Glad they arrived. I hope all was in order and you have what you need. I may have another odd part or two for the latches laying around. I'll keep my eyes peeled if you need them.
  5. Looks great! I'm a week away from getting my beast back from the tuner, and am probably a month away from being on the road. I am so envious of you right now.

I have been a little disappointed with my tuner as of late. He has taken on a few higher paying jobs and pushed mine back several times. I have his word that my tune will be the next completed regardless of who walks through the door. I'm hoping this week I should be able to get her home.
  7. My experience with good street tires for Auto cross was limited to the Dunlop Direzza Star Specs. I loved these tires on my WRX (3400 lbs) and was able to compete well in the SM class. Great advantage to these tires in the wet.
  8. I haven't even done the process for my car in Alberta yet, but I remember being reffered to this site. http://locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=7012&hilit=ontario At a quick glance there appears to be some helpful info here. I hope it helps.

Here's some shots I took from my first Blat. Thanks for the warm welcome, and the great run. I had great fun, and can't wait to come out as a driver. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/FILE0069-1.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/IMG_1382.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/IMG_1397.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/IMG_1405.jpg

    RIP Dad

My thoughts go out to you. I lost my Mom six years ago Friday. It's tough, and takes time. My condolences.

We will be meeting you at the chain lakes intersection at 10:30am. I'll gather some phone numbers there.

So is it chain lakes turn off at 10:30, or Longview at 10:30? They aren't that far apart so the difference is only a few minutes, but the confusion could cost us a bit of time. Bill? Steve? Stew? Darren?

I called up Zach, and we are sorted to meet the group in Longview at 10:30 AM. Yay! My first Blat! Next year I'll be driving, I promise.
  19. Here is a shot of the latches I have. I'm pretty sure they are the ones you need. I only have two of the hooks for the latches though. What parts are you looking for? http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/IMG_1364.jpg

I'm just posting here to ensure both the email group and this thread are on the same page. It was mentioned that there may be some room for passengers in a few cars. If I remember correctly there was one car with an open spot meeting in Bragg Creek at 9AM and another two cars with space meeting in Longview at approximately 10:30 AM. I can be at either of these points to tag along at the given times. I'd like to hitch a ride, but don't want to be a pain or take a seat that would otherwise be taken. If you know for sure there won't be a conflict over the remaining seat and wouldn't mind a tag along, let me know. Thanks.
  21. I ask every year for a Se7en cake. So far no luck. That cake looks great, I'm sure it tasted great too.

My car will not be ready for this event either. I sure am getting tired of saying that, but at least I am making progress. I would be open to hitching a ride if there ends up being room for a passenger. I have a mini HD camera for taking videos and can offer my photography skills as well. (I use the term "skills" loosely)
  23. Sorry for the delay. Yesterday I had to run to a different city to deal with a family pet emergency. I just got back and will pop by the garage tomorrow.
  24. I got caught up tossing my old BBQ, buying a new one and then assembling and cooking in it today. I'll hit the garage tomorrow and gather them up.

Timing, timing, timing. I went to have a chat with the engine guys today actually. There are no timing marks on this motor (?), and as such some need to be made. I'm hoping to have it out of the shop next week, but then I have a few electrical issues to sort before sending it off for Inspection. I'm having serious doubts about enjoying my first drive in her this year. :nopity:
