  1. I feel there are a couple advantages to American government over Canadian, but I always felt that there was an advantage to having more than two parties to choose from.

Hi Stewart, I previously pinged one of our members to help me in the process and get the alignment sorted with/for me. I'll prolly stick to that plan. Thanks for the info on the IBC though.

I am hoping to be on the dyno for early next week. Few small things to sort, then off to get a VIN plate.
  4. I've heard great things about the Toyo R888. I'll let you know how they feel in a month. :seeya:

I'm out still. Boys weekend in Invermere for me. Have a great run everyone. As always, post lots of pics. I'm still living vicariously through you all.
  6. I think you misspelled "Thoughts" in your title, and meant to say Olympics. :troll:
  7. I honestly thought I'd be in the road by now. It is a little depressing that I'm not there yet. I'll be ready for the 2013 blat to Vancouver for sure...Kitty will have my head otherwise.
  8. Just wrapping up the vacuum lines for the IACV, and bolting it back together. Hopefully filling it with fluids for the end of the week, and a tune early next. Then I have to bring it home and sort out a couple small things before inspection and VIN. Add to that a week away in early Sept. and I think it may be 2013 before I get to drive her. :banghead:
  9. Great to hear Madge is on the road again!!! I'll be out for the Sept long blat, as that is my yearly Boys weekend away to golf. Matters not really, I doubt Beatrice will be ready by then. :nopity:
  10. At the rate my build is going, I may just be ready for 2013. :toetap05:
  11. I have contemplated PlastiDip'ing the whole car. You can do the car yourself for $300. It seems that paint really takes a beating on these cars, and the soft durable coating has worked well for me on numerous other projects. Only problem with it, is that it is somewhat trendy right now.
  12. Peter, I am sorry that the kit doesn't work for you. I had to do some major revisions to the kit to get it to work for me. The alternator is small, and can be made to fit on either side I would think, but the brackets would need to be custom. Thanks
  13. Have Fun everyone. Take lots of pic's, I'm living vicariously through them.
  14. I'm sad to see this car up for sale, and even more sad that I can't buy it. Mike, when I first set eyes on this car, I was in awe. It's one of those cars that made an impression on me, and has played a part in many of the decisions I make in my own build. This car will undoubtedly make someone very happy. Good luck with the sale.
  15. Found on ebay today http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-Birkin-S3-/330772356029?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4d03919bbd http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Other-Makes-Seven-/300750904353?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4606269c21 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Other-Makes-Super-7-CSR260-/130737505679?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e7090058f
  16. I'm still out for a little bit. Vacations, and a few odd parts are slowing me down. :ack:
  17. :iagree:I'd like to see more of this build.
  18. I have that exact one. It sits beside the rest of my dream car 1/18 collection. I'd like to find a 1/18 Donkervoort now.
  19. Hi Peter, I purchased a kit from Great British Sportscars. The link is attached. http://www.kitspares.co.uk/shop/item.php?product=5021 I found that the mount for the Alternator itself, did not work without some heavy modification. I ended up making one from scratch to solve this. The belt tensioner, pulley and belt, I am using though. I hope this helps, and let me know if I can offer any more information.
  20. I should have become a Dentist.
  21. I think you have things sorted well enough. Have fun tomorrow. It's not often you get the second "first time". ; )
  22. That was the thread I was thinking of. :seeya:
  23. I think I have seen this complex on a garage forum I belong to. Gives me ideas for when I someday have a space of my own again. Great looking Garage Drew. I really like the extra living space that the garage provides. That's a true man cave.
  24. I have been working for this trip for a long time, but fear I won't be able to make it. If the car is ready for the trip, it won't have been fully shaken down. I think I'm going to save this trip for next year, and enjoy it the way I have been envisioning it for the last half year.
  25. I resemble that remark. I was a little down this week past, when I knew I would miss the meet. It made my day catching up with you all today.
