turboeric
That's from the documentary Chasing Ice, which I saw in a theatre last year. Well worth seeing, and seeing that sequence (and others) on the big screen is simply awe-inspiring.
xcarguy
Watch it full screen . . . . . to get a perspective of how big it actually was. I suddenly feel very small, a tad bit vulnereble and a little insignificant.
WestTexasS2K
I lived in Thule Greenland for 2 years. We saw a few ice glaciers breaking off during the summer, but it was very small pieces the size of a car or a small bus. Not the size of a major city. That must have been awesome to hear in person. Croc
The more frustrating thing is wondering where our political leaders are in providing leadership on the environment at times like this.
Paul Hill
Croc No doubt the politicos missed even the reruns... Tough to see much with your head up your A$$!

scannon
Our Alaskan correspondent (Alaskossie) has informed me that the graphic at the end of the clip depicting the shrinkage of the glacier does not represent the glacier in the video but is that of a much smaller glacier located in Alaska.
