Thanks Rahul. :) It is a series 2, though I find the series 1 the most beautiful.

My bad. Also I couldn't remember your username over here :)

When did the glass Brooklands screen go on?

I put the brooklands on in april of last year. The one in the video is a genuine brooklands. I also have a fake one that I haven't installed yet for the passenger side. I'm still not 100% sure I like my mirrors, so I'm waiting to figure out what I will do with the mirrors before installing on the passenger side.

I always pictured you as an Australian with your forum name.

Now that cracked me up laughing!

The video is wonderful. I love how Petrolicious present cars. How long did it take them to shoot all the video of you?

I can only imagine what ideas you may be getting from this?

I think drones are a no no at NJMP. Milford or the Bear Mountain Bridge Road are different story.

The video was shot in a single day in early November. Due to the shorter day, it was a bit chaotic, but still lots of waiting for setup, etc. I probably only did about 15 minutes of filmed driving.

We drove to the morning shoot location at 5:30am, got there at about 6 and filmed statically for the next hour. We then did some footage (flyby's, lead/follow, in-car) in the backroads there.

We ate lunch around 11AM, filmed the interview in my garage about 12pm, did the side-by-side shots around 2pm and drove out to the coast for the sunset in the final shots.

Thats pretty quick for a professional quality video. A TV commercial for 30 seconds would be days. I suspect it was only a small team say 4 people and a drone pilot to make it all work?

Drones are banned at NJMP because of Millville airport. Milford is out because of Van Sants Airport. Bear Mountain is out because of the light aircraft corridor on the Hudson, White Plains Airport and I suspect proximity to West Point College.

There is no way a amateur can match the quality of Petrolicious videos - we can dream though!

Actually it was only 2 guys, but they worked pretty efficiently.

They basically used a 4K camera attached to a slider dolly for the still and pass-by shots. They suction mounted the camera to their FJ for the lead/follow, but they had to use a regular go-pro for attachment to the car due to the lack of window or strong enough bodywork.

hey used an inspire 1 for the drone footage, but they had just bought it and it was their first time using it. The camera was controlled by and recorded to the director's iphone which sits atop the inspire 1's controller. It was funny to watch one of them control the drone and another control the camera - all while trying not to crash it. One of my favorite shots is the one from directly overhead. You don't see sevens from that angle very often.

I would be worried about crashing a drone too! I still remember the day we had a "Dangers of Drones" presentation at our annual conference and the guys managed to crash it full tilt into the CEO. I had enough crashes with remote control aircraft as a kid! :svengo:

The drone footage makes the video in many ways - such an evocative sight of you carving corners sweetly through the hills. :cooldude:
