Speedsailor
Was just looking at JPE cars in the UK when I stumbled on some details of 5 cars being built and exported to the USA. Does anyone know anything about these and if they are still here in the USA. Always been the ultimate 7 in my eyes and would love to see one in action. Speedsailor
Seems as if the JPE is an elusive animal in the wilds of the USA, no sightings as yet. I'm sure they are out there stalking unsuspecting prey on the racetracks of the Americas.

I'm looking for the ones exported to the USA back in the mid 1990's.
JohnCh
I think Greg may have been alluding to the graphics package. Not exactly subtle... -John
Croc
I know of a dayglo yellow one currently in Florida. Owner is not on this forum. One of the US ones went to Japan - met the owner at a car meet in Ueno, Tokyo in 2003. Come to think of it, weren't all JPE models dayglo yellow? Speedsailor
Croc most were dayglo yellow but others in bare alloy, blue, black, orange etc. So down to 4 in the USA, Croc send me a PM of the one in Florida if you like. By all accounts 46 rhd and 7 lhd, one of those in Germany was written off.
Croc
Thank you for clarifying the colors. Will respond to your PM offline.
Speedsailor
Just heard back from Caterham, no JPE were exported to the USA officially...didn't meet emission regs. Any that are here are most like grey market imports. Only 4 LHD were built...2 for germany, 1 for Austria and 1 for Saudi Arabia. 1 RHD went to Australia and the rest went to UK and Japan. Speedsailor
Yes the original graphic is incorrect, none were officially sold to the USA. However at least 1 rhd has made it here.
