JohnCh Posted March 3, 2021 Share Posted March 3, 2021 Due to the increased stress from COVID, and the fact that working from home means you are always working, my employer has given everyone an extra week of vacation this year in the form of Wellness Days. They're also encouraging us to take breaks throughout the day when we can; step away from the computer and do something other than work. Since the weather today is beautiful and the roads are finally dry, I decided to take advantage of a break between meetings and go for a Wellness Blat. It's the first time I've had the Westfield out in a few months. It was too short, but still fabulous. papak Posted March 4, 2021 Share Posted March 4, 2021 I was going to head out on Sunday morning but my wife has playing tennis now (gggrrr). I finally got convinced to wear a helmet on the freeway. A friend had a 2x4 come through his windshield recently. As we all know, driving a 7 gives you a fresh appreciation for the debris on the road surface as well as a great view of the surface defects. I'm also running Brooklands windscreens. The hardhat seems a little racey and assuredly is "cop-bait" but it is definitely safer and more comfortable. Our local electrical utility had an oops moment that took out power for 1500 people starting around 10am this morning. I was really surprised to see so few cars out and about. The CHP speedtraps on PCH weren’t making much money today. I even got a couple of “thumbs up” from a couple of cops!
